The Valet Attendant is responsible for safely and efficiently parking and retrieving guest vehicles while delivering a high level
of customer service. This role requires prompt, courteous, and caring interactions with all guests and timely responses to
customer needs. The Valet Attendant works collaboratively with team members, the Operations Manager, and/or Shift Supervisor to
ensure quality service, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards, as well as compliance with all applicable state
and local laws.

Key Responsibilities Represent as the first point of contact with guests; greet and acknowledge all guests using exceptional customer service and guest name Maintain a high level of professionalism, positive demeanor and service etiquette at all times Offer Valet services, explain terms of use and service, complete vehicle inspections and distribute valet parking tickets Park and retrieve guests' vehicles to and from the designated valet parking area ensuring safety and security procedures are followed all times Control traffic flow; keep Emergency lanes clear; direct guests to appropriate parking areas Offer Bell Services by assisting guests with luggage; load or unload from vehicle using proper, safe baggage/cart handling techniques; ensure guest safety and avoid property damage Escort guests to their rooms; inform guests of the hotel’s facilities, hours of operations, and offer to make reservations as appropriate; arrange transportation for guests if needed (taxi, limo etc.) Explain proper use of key system to guests and ensure the room’s readiness; report deficiencies; explain operation of room equipment, fire exits and procedures Store luggage in the guest service attendant’s closet and issue baggage claim check tickets Deliver messages and requested items to guestrooms; assist with wake up calls; assist with checking rooms due to check out Assist guests during check out; transport luggage to lobby or vehicle Respond to automated service order requests within 15 minutes Provide accurate directions to all areas of the Hotel and Casino complex Complete tasks on the shift check list Directly or indirectly provide for superior customer service and promote excellent employee relations with co-workers Answer telephone within 3 rings using proper telephone answering techniques Understand and follow safety and emergency procedures and comply with Hotel and Casino policies and procedures; perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be able to push and pull luggage and cart up to 50 lbs. force; frequent lifting of luggage in and out of vehicle and onto cart (5-50 lbs.) SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS Controls traffic for guests on Northern Quest Resort and Casino property by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Resort and Casino Policies and Procedures. * Maintain four star/four diamond service standards. * Adhere to all Hotel and Casino Policies. * Help move traffic on Northern Quest Resort and Casino property as directed by the Guest Service Manager. * Follow staging guidelines to move traffic to areas of available parking. * Assist guests in parking and give directions as needed. * Call for shuttle as needed to transport guests to the casino or hotel entrances. * Operate a radio or similar device to communicate with supervisors and fellow team members. * Fulfill any reasonable work requested by a Manager or Supervisor. * Will at times be required to assist the Valet, Transportation and Guest services department as needed. * Use proper interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and employees. * Ensure guest confidentiality standards are followed. * Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record. * Ensure control/protection of company assets. * Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. * This job description does not list all of the duties of this position. EXPERIENCE * Experience in a four star/four diamond hotel preferred. SKILLS & ABILITIES * Ability to drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles. * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. * Ability to write simple correspondence. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. * Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. * Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and employees. * Preferred Knowledge of a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation. * Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. * Work nights, weekends and holidays as required. EDUCATION * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. OTHER REQUIREMENTS * Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Gaming License. * Valid State Driver’s License (Must be in possession while operating guest or tribal vehicles). * Will be able to obtain FBI Identity History Summary yearly. * Will be able to obtain Washington State Patrol criminal history report yearly. * Provide a Driver Abstract yearly. * Must be able to be insured by the company insurance carrier. * Pass a NQC traffic flagging school.
