You will: * Prepare fresh, healthy meals and snacks for children each day * Plan menus that meet nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements * Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness * Ensure all allergens and dietary needs are carefully managed * Work closely with the Nursery Manager and team to create a positive mealtime experience * Support kitchen organisation, stock control and ordering Every day, your cooking will help children build healthy habits and enjoy mealtimes in a safe and nurturing environment. During your apprenticeship, you will: * Learn essential skills in child development, safeguarding and early years practice * Complete off-the-job training (around 6 hours per week) alongside your role * Build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your progress * Receive regular support from your trainer and Nursery mentor * Complete an End Point Assessment (EPA) to achieve your qualification Upon completion, you’ll be a qualified Early Years Practitioner with opportunities to progress at Fennies or the wider early years sector. You will: * Support the day-to-day leadership and smooth running of the nursery * Inspire and guide educators to deliver outstanding early years practice * Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and compliance * Build strong partnerships with families and the local community * Support team development through coaching, mentoring and feedback * Help prepare for Ofsted inspections and maintain regulatory standards * Contribute to continuous improvement across educational quality, team engagement and nursery performance This role offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills while making a meaningful difference in children’s learning journeys. What we’re looking for You’re a confident and passionate early years professional who enjoys helping teams succeed and children flourish.
