Engineering Lead for Fleet Management
As the Engineering Lead for Fleet Management, you will ensure our merchants can deploy and scale their in-person payment
infrastructure with zero friction. You own the technical strategy for our global supply chain, automating the entire lifecycle of
a terminal: factory ordering, global distribution, replacement, decommissioning, and reporting.
Intuitive and self-service tools are the key to empowering merchants to manage their own stores and terminal fleets independently.
You will be driven to create a simple, seamless, and automated experience from a complex logistics operation.
You will lead the development of the configuration of our terminals - handling everything from merchant settings and dynamic
content to payment kernel and SoftPOS configurations. The integrity of our Android ecosystem also falls within scope, overseeing
the secure signing and deployment of apps and certificates.

Android - AOSP Engineer - IPP Hardware Adyen’s In-person payments fleet of payment devices is growing exponentially with every passing month. We are bringing thousands of devices to the field every month with a wide variety of models and this doesn’t come without challenges. We are looking for an Android Engineer with AOSP experience to help us in taking full control over the Android OS. What you will do: * Lead the Android AOSP efforts in order to build a strong and flexible foundation for our Android payments application * Engage in cross-functional conversations with product management, software engineering and hardware engineering teams to ensure the best payment experience for our merchants * Drive conversations with SOC (system on chip) vendors and terminal vendors in order to secure high performing components * Ensure software quality by using the latest technologies and frameworks in Android OS engineering * Coach team members to grow the team with the right skill set Who you are: * 5+ years of experience working with the Android OS. * In-depth understanding of the Android OS, spanning from secure boot and the Linux Kernel up to the Java Framework integration. * Proficient in C/C++. Knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin is a plus. Experience working with source control tools such as Git, Repo, Gerrit, GitHub, and with Android command line tools such as adb and fastboot. * Proven track record navigating multi-party development lifecycles, including experience with Google’s communication channels (Mailing lists, Android Security Bulletins) and compliance tools (VTS/CTS/STS). * Experience in modifying AOSP for domain specific features * Expertise in implementing and integrating HAL (HIDL/AIDL) interfaces and wrappers to bridge hardware functionality with the Android Framework. * Experience in debugging issues within the Android Framework and Linux Kernel. * Passionate about solving large scale problems and building great software for customers. HEAD OF ENGINEERING, ADYEN PROTECT We are seeking a visionary and highly technical Head of Engineering to lead the development and scaling of Adyen Protect. Adyen Protect is our ML-first product suite designed to detect and mitigate payment fraud in real-time across billions of transactions. In this role, you will lead a specialized domain of four high-impact engineering teams dedicated to staying ahead of increasingly sophisticated global fraud networks. You will be the strategic driver behind our risk engine, ensuring that our ML models are not only accurate and performant but also transparent and actionable for the world's largest merchants. This is a role for a leader who thrives at the intersection of big data, predictive modeling, and high-availability systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that as Adyen grows, our ability to protect our merchants and their consumers remains world-class. WHAT YOU’LL DO: * Vision & Strategy: Define and execute the technical roadmap for Adyen Protect, aligning Machine Learning capabilities with the evolving needs of global e-commerce and regulatory landscapes. * Scale ML Operations: Lead four multidisciplinary teams in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure for model training, real-time scoring, and automated experimentation (A/B testing) at the millisecond level. * Engineering Excellence: Establish and maintain high standards for engineering quality and reliability. Ensure our fraud detection systems are resilient, low-latency, and capable of processing massive data volumes without downtime. * Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product Leaders, Risk officers, and other parts of the business to translate complex fraud patterns into robust technical features and automated mitigation strategies. * Team Development: Mentor and grow a high-performing organization of engineers and engineering managers.
