P-1345 You will be the Product Manager for the Databricks Runtime team in Amsterdam. The team works at the intersection of query processing, storage, infrastructure and data governance, all key components of the Databricks data intelligence platform. As the Product Manager, you will develop a deep understanding of modern cloud infrastructure, data governance solutions, and open source components, and gather requirements from customers. You will launch features that will impact how customers process petabytes of data every day and make it simpler for them to draw value from their data.  This role requires coordinating all product activities from vision to implementation, including engaging customers to understand their needs, developing long-term product strategy, defining product roadmaps, working with engineering to build those products, and coordinating with various internal stakeholders (both pre- and post-launch) to ensure product success. The impact you will have: * Own the end-to-end product management process * Gather customer requirements, design features and collaborate with engineering to deliver a polished market-ready product * Drive launches with product marketing through blog posts, release notes, webinars * Define and measure OKRs for your products * Drive the prioritization and development of features, measurably reducing the cost and time needed for operating ETL and machine learning workflows. For instance, you might work on challenges such as: * Problems that span from product to infrastructure including: distributed systems, at-scale service architecture and monitoring, workflow orchestration, and developer experience. * Deliver reliable and high performance services and client libraries for storing and accessing humongous amount of data on cloud storage backends, e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Store. * Build reliable, scalable services, e.g. Scala, Kubernetes, and data pipelines, e.g. Spark, Databricks, to power the pricing infrastructure that serves millions of cluster-hours per day and develop product features that empower customers to easily view and control platform usage. What we look for: * BS (or higher) in Computer Science, or a related field * 7+ years of production level experience in one of: Java, Scala, C++, or similar language. * Experience developing large-scale distributed systems. * Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures. * Good knowledge of SQL. You will build the next-generation platform for serving workspace assets, ensuring high QPS, low latency, reliable, and performant systems, proactively addressing the future growth challenges. Additionally, as a senior member of the team, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers, contributing to the overall improvement of team coding practices and system designs.
