Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Manage the commercial resources (finance) of the assigned project to maximise planned gross profit through the placement and control of subcontracts
- Provide commercial expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and contract/workstream performance data
- Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Support the authorisation and submission of project variations.
- Lead provide consultation to clients on Value Engineering opportunities.
- Authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders
- Provide guidance to junior members of the team
- Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers
- Evaluate work executed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments.
- Be proficient with regards to technical knowledge and skills to enable you to undertake the role to the best of your ability
- Compile interim valuation to the client in a timely manner in line with pre-agreed valuation schedules and ensure that valuations are maximised with regards to values claimed to enhance cash flow for projects where possible
- Produce interim internal Cost Value Reconciliation Reports
