Job Description * Manage day-to-day activities of the company’s finance operations mainly related to Accounts Receivable and Revenue; ensuring all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. * Lead day-to-day finance operations for Accounts Receivable and Revenue, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, SOX, and internal policies. * Define and execute the global/regional AR strategy aligned with business goals, cash-flow optimization, and risk management. * Drive standardization, automation, and optimization of invoicing, aging, and overdue receivables management in partnership with Collections. * Own AR performance reporting and KPIs (DSO, CEI, overdue %, dispute aging, bad debt) and deliver actionable insights to management. * Manage and continuously improve the bad-debt provisioning process through analysis, controls, and governance. * Act as a key business partner, balancing commercial relationships with strong financial discipline and dispute resolution. * Lead finance transformation initiatives and projects, including requirements definition, process design, UAT, go-live support, and post-implementation monitoring. * Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Product, Finance Systems, Supply, and Customer Support to resolve root causes. * Oversee month-end and year-end close activities related to receivables, ensuring timely and accurate internal and external reporting. * Lead, mentor, and develop AR, billing, and collections teams; establish clear ownership, escalation paths, and a high-performance, metrics-driven culture. What you’ll need to succeed * Ideally a Masters in a Business field or CPA/ CFA or related certification. As Senior Analyst, Pay‑In (B2B), you will own and execute key Pay‑In and AR processes for Agoda’s B2B partner flows. You will be a subject‑matter expert on B2B cash and receivables, ensuring accurate and timely booking‑to‑cash accounting, reconciliation, and reporting, while supporting new product and partner launches. In this role, you will: * Run day‑to‑day Pay‑In & AR operations for B2B flows * Perform daily and monthly tasks for B2B AR and Pay‑In accounts (e.g., bookings, invoicing, receipts, credit card settlements, write‑offs, reclasses). * Ensure that financial data for which you are responsible is accurate, complete, and delivered on time. * Monitor B2B receivables aging and cash‑in‑transit (CIT) balances, following up on unusual items and long‑outstanding items. * Manage B2B invoicing and cash application * Support and execute invoicing to B2B partners and/or intercompany entities, including aggregation logic and partner-specific configurations. * Reconcile cash receipts vs invoices and settlement reports for B2B partners, ensuring correct allocation at booking / CID / partner level. * Resolve payment‑related queries and discrepancies with internal stakeholders and partners with satisfactory outcomes. * Lead B2B reconciliation activities * Perform end‑to‑end reconciliation between: * Booking systems, B2B invoicing, and general ledger. * B2B settlement reports / gateway reports, bank statements, and AR Reconciliator outputs. * Investigate and resolve recon breaks and data issues in collaboration with Tech, Product, and other Finance teams. * Maintain and monitor CIT aging, ensuring timely clearing and appropriate accounting treatment. * Support new B2B products, partners, and projects * Provide operational finance support for new B2B initiatives (e.g., partner onboarding, new merchant flows, new business models). * Participate in UAT for system changes (e.g., ERP/Invoicing systems), ensuring correct Accounts Receivable behavior before go‑live. * Provide input on process and system design from an operational and control perspective. * Ensure strong internal controls and SOX compliance * Ensure that processes and documentation under your scope comply with internal policies and SOX control requirements. * Identify unusual items, exceptions, and control gaps, escalate appropriately, and drive timely resolution. * Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations, explanations, and evidence. * Drive continuous improvement * Identify opportunities to streamline and automate B2B Pay‑In and AR processes and reports, including elimination of unnecessary steps. * Provide inputs on required changes to related daily activities, reconciliations, and dashboards. * Contribute to the overall management and development of the Pay‑In & AR tower, including the successful achievement of its goals and objectives. * Coach and collaborate * Provide guidance and support to more junior team members in daily transaction processing and reconciliation work. * Proactively partner and fairly support stakeholders within Finance (Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, R&C) and outside Finance (Product, Tech, B2B / PPS teams). * Support the team to deliver ad hoc analyses, reports, and project work as needed. What you’ll need to succeed: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in Accounting / Finance Operations, preferably with exposure to: * Pay‑In, AR, or revenue reconciliation; and/or * B2B, affiliate, or payment operations (e.g., gateways, card settlements, invoicing). * Experience in a multinational company; travel / e‑commerce / online platform industry is a plus. * Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. * Experience in transaction processing, reconciliations, and month‑end closing, including handling more complex transactions. * Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); comfortable working with large data sets and multiple systems. * Dynamic and able to adapt to a fast‑paced, changing environment. * Strong teamwork skills – ability to collaborate, influence, and communicate effectively with other teams, both within and outside of Finance. * Energetic, proactive, and taking initiative, with effective verbal and written communication skills in English. The Opportunity: As an Indirect Tax Advisor, you will have the unique opportunity to work in Bangkok for Agoda Services Co. Ltd, reporting to the Indirect Tax Manager of Agoda. You will be part of a broader tax advisory team that is rapidly growing in light of the changing tax landscape for digital services. While being part of the broader Tax and Finance team, you will also work closely with the Product and Legal teams. The focus of this position is to manage all tax advisory matters related to VAT, sales tax, GST and other indirect taxes for Agoda, including the compliance with tax regulations across the globe. You will have end-to-end responsibility for your own projects from scoping the challenge (incl. budgeting) to the overall solution (execution and implementation), including stakeholder management and relationships with our tax advisors. While this role remains very hands-on, you will also be expected to contribute to the long-term vision of the tax team and to share your tax technical expertise with the broader team to support their growth. This role involves interaction with our Senior Leadership Team, US parent company, international offices, business managers, functional teams, IT and other finance and legal colleagues. Due to rapid growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may also evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur. Key Role and Responsibilities * Assist in information and data gathering as and when required by Tax authorities * Support the Tax Team in daily operations to accomplish tax objectives * Perform ad-hoc tax assignments, as assigned by Indirect Tax Manager, Senior Manager and/or Tax Director, including but not limited tax research * Support team members working on reconciliation of revenue, purchase, output VAT/GST and input VAT/GST with financials * Define indirect tax requirements for existing and new programs/products, and support in implementation of these requirements in internal systems * Research and keep abreast of global indirect tax developments, to ensure adherence with new tax rules and regulations * Manage business stakeholders and coordinate with external teams for effective delivery of the project * Understand business processes, how indirect taxes affect in-house financial applications and systems, contribute to the long-term vision of the tax team * Coordinate with external advisors on various indirect tax issues * Responsible for indirect tax awareness and appreciation within the Agoda group Minimum Qualifications Required: * Bachelors or Master’s degree in Tax Economics/Law, Accounting, Finance or any business/similar related field. Graduate degree in taxation is an additional asset * Minimum 3-5 years of indirect tax experience in a multinational tax environment, Big 4 / Top law firm / major corporation experience, in-house experience is a plus * Solid technical knowledge of indirect taxes (VAT/GST) and keen to adapt to global environment.
