The Junior Account Manager is a commercially focused role responsible for driving revenue growth across an existing merchant
portfolio through outbound engagement, negotiation, upselling, and proactive retention actions.

As a Junior Activation & Upsell Specialist (Junior Early Growth Specialist), you are the critical link between a new merchant signing up and becoming a thriving member of the SumUp ecosystem. This is a dynamic role where you will act as a partner to small business owners, ensuring they have the right tools—from card readers to our Business Account—to succeed from day one. You will sit at the intersection of Onboarding, Activation, and Sales, focusing on driving product adoption and identifying growth opportunities within our newly acquired merchant base. This role is designed for a high-energy individual who is motivated by targets and eager to launch a career in Fintech. What you’ll do: * Drive Merchant Activation: Proactively reach out to new merchants to guide them through their first transactions and ensure a seamless start with the SumUp platform. * Consultative Upselling: Analyze merchant profiles to recommend and sell additional SumUp products (such as the Business Account, Invoicing, or advanced hardware) that fit their specific business needs. * Outbound Engagement: Execute high-volume outbound calling campaigns to activate accounts and re-engage merchants who haven't yet realized the full potential of our ecosystem. * Hit Growth Targets: Consistently meet and exceed monthly activation and upsell KPIs, directly impacting company revenue and your own commission-based earnings. * Feedback Loop: Act as the "voice of the customer," sharing insights from your direct merchant interactions with the Product and Marketing teams to improve the user journey. What we’re looking for: * Previous experience in onboarding, customer support, SDR or roles with strong outbound exposure * Comfort with high-volume outbound calls * Excellent verbal and written proficiency in both German and English * Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding KPIs. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Junior Partnerships Manager, you will support the growth of Audiomob’s gaming and app developer network by helping identify, engage, onboard, and grow relationships with game and app partners. This role is suited to someone with a strong interest in mobile gaming, app monetisation, and adtech, who is commercially minded and eager to develop their partnership and deal-making skills. You will work closely with senior members of the Partnerships team to support revenue growth through new partner acquisition, onboarding, and account development. You should have a good understanding of mobile game or app monetisation, including key industry metrics such as retention, ARPDAU, and LTV. You do not need to be an expert across every area, but you should be curious, analytical, and comfortable learning how developers think about monetisation and user experience. The ideal candidate will have some experience working with game or app developers, publishers, adtech platforms, or monetisation teams. You should be confident in communicating with external partners, comfortable supporting commercial conversations, and able to work cross-functionally with internal teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Ad Ops. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE * 1–2 years of experience in partnerships, business development, account management, monetisation, developer relations, or a similar role within gaming, apps, adtech, or a related industry * Understanding of mobile game and app KPIs such as ARPDAU, retention, LTV, DAU and engagement * Experience supporting commercial conversations, partner outreach, onboarding, or account growth * Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with external partners * Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing and operations teams * Interest in mobile gaming, app monetisation, advertising, and developer ecosystems * Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple partner conversations or projects at once * Willingness to learn how to pitch monetisation solutions and support deal progression from initial outreach through to onboarding NICE TO HAVE * Degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field * Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment * Familiarity with ad mediation platforms, programmatic advertising, and in-game monetisation formats * Existing network or experience working with gaming or app publishers and studios * Multilingual skills, for example Russian, Arabic, French, or Spanish * Experience using CRM tools or managing partner pipelines ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Support the Partnerships team in identifying and engaging new game and app developer partners * Assist with outreach, qualification, pitching, and follow-up with prospective partners * Help build and manage relationships with Monetisation Managers, Product Teams and Developer Studios * Support commercial growth strategies across key markets by researching prospects and market opportunities * Assist in preparing pitch materials, partner proposals, and commercial documentation * Support negotiation processes, deal structuring, and integration planning alongside senior team members * Help onboard new publishers and ensure a smooth transition into monetisation * Track partner conversations, pipeline progress, and onboarding status using internal tools and CRM systems * Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams to support partner needs * Represent Audiomob professionally in partner conversations, industry events, and conferences where required * Share partner feedback internally to help improve product-market fit and developer experience We’re building a diverse, inclusive team: Diversity and representation matters to us all.
