Engineering Manager - Infrastructure Services
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Adyen Cloud Services (ACS) Team within the Platform Engineering organization
in Bengaluru. This team owns and operates Adyen's core container orchestration and traffic management infrastructure, the
foundation that keeps our global payment platform running. In this role, you will drive technical strategy, build a
high-performing team, and shape the evolution of our platform as Adyen continues to scale globally.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead and grow a high-performing infrastructure team: Manage platform and infrastructure engineers across all levels, owning
day-to-day operations, planning, and hiring in Bengaluru and in coordination with other tech hubs.
Bring structure and process to execution: Introduce and refine operational processes that improve incident response, change
management, and predictable delivery for mission-critical infrastructure.
Foster a culture of technical excellence: Drive globally optimized technical decisions with a focus on automation, partnering
with other leads to evolve container orchestration, traffic management, and infrastructure tooling.
Scale for massive growth: Guide the team through platform modernization, multi-region resilience, and architectural evolution
while owning the operational realities of bare-metal infrastructure and datacenter dependencies.
Integrate platform best practices: Ensure reliability, security, and observability are embedded into how teams consume
infrastructure offering a "golden path" for engineers to deploy and operate services.
WHO YOU ARE
Experienced engineering leader: Proven track record managing and growing high-performing teams in platform, infrastructure, or
SRE domains. 8+ years in engineering, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
Infrastructure domain expertise: Deep understanding of container orchestration (Kubernetes), traffic management (load
balancers, DNS), and on-prem/bare-metal operations. Hands-on experience running large-scale, highly available production
infrastructure.
Technical leader with a strong engineering perspective: You shape technical direction, improve reliability and performance, and
ensure solutions are scalable and maintainable with a focus on automation.
Hands-on when needed: While this is a management role, you're comfortable in technical discussions to guide your team and
ensure sound decisions, and can partner across infrastructure and development teams to diagnose and resolve issues when needed.
Nice to have: Prior experience in FinTech or regulated industries where reliability and security are paramount. Familiarity
with infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, and building automation for provisioning and lifecycle management.

This team is part of our Platform Engineering team in India. The purpose of Platform Engineering is to enable Adyen engineers to
autonomously build and support secure, scalable and reliable applications with high speed and quality through a common technology
ecosystem. As a storage engineer of our Storage team in Bengaluru, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing,
and maintaining data storage systems and solutions. This role involves the end-to-end management of our organization's data
storage infrastructure. This includes strategic design for scalability, hands-on implementation and integration, continuous
performance monitoring, capacity planning, security, and troubleshooting. It also requires proactive maintenance with updates,
backups, disaster recovery, and planning for future growth by evaluating and recommending new technologies for data availability,
reliability, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do:
* Design and deploy storage infrastructure (SAN, NAS, DAS, Object Storage) in accordance with organizational needs.
* Monitor and maintain storage systems to guarantee optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
* Perform capacity planning and forecasting for future storage needs.
* Develop and implement strategies for backup, replication, and disaster recovery.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage systems.
* Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and standards.
* Collaborate with other Platform Engineering teams on system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
* Automate storage provisioning and management using scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools
Who You Are:
* 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration with a focus on storage (e.g., Ceph) {MANDATE}
* Proven experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, Hitachi). {MANDATE}
* You have a strong understanding of RAID, LVM, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing, and file systems (ext4, XFS, ZFS, etc.) {MANDATE}
* Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems and clustering technologies
* Proficiency in shell scripting;
* You have Python, Puppet or Ansible knowledge experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.
* You have familiarity with cloud storage solutions like AWS S3 and EBS.
* Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.)

To lead the delivery of a major substation construction project supporting a large-scale data centre development in Sweden.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, overseeing both the Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) and electrical scopes while acting as the primary interface with the client. Approximately 75% of the project is CSA-focused, making a strong background in CSA delivery highly desirable.
You will provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of the substation construction project from inception through to completion.
Oversee the Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) and electrical work packages, ensuring effective coordination across all disciplines.
Act as the primary client interface, building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Manage contractors, consultants and project teams to achieve programme milestones and project objectives.
Proactively identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety, quality and commercial requirements.
Provide regular progress reporting and maintain clear communication with the client and wider project team.
Experience Required
Proven experience leading the delivery of substation or utility infrastructure projects.
A strong Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) background, with experience managing associated electrical packages.
Demonstrable experience delivering complex, large-scale construction projects from inception through to completion.
Excellent client-facing, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English communication skills.
Previous experience working on similar projects or within hyperscale data centre environments would be highly advantageous.
Key Deliverables
Throughout the assignment, you will be responsible for:
Successfully delivering the substation construction project in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.
Managing both the CSA and electrical scopes to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintaining a proactive approach to project planning, risk management and issue resolution.
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships while providing clear leadership to the project team.
Qualifications: Degree in Engineering/Project Management, Associated with Institute of Engineers
Experience: 10+ years in senior project management (industry specific)
