We combine global reach with local expertise and continue to grow through innovation, strong partnerships, and a clear focus on quality and customer value. At Cibes Lift Group, we are on an exciting journey. As a global leader in low-rise lifts, we are now building our Data & Analytics capability from the ground up, and we are looking for the very first Data Engineer to make it happen. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role where you won't just improve something that already exists, you'll create the foundation that everything else will be built on. If you're someone who enjoys taking ownership, shaping direction, and turning ideas into reality, this role gives you exactly that. Location: You can work from the office or remotely. Our headquarters are located in Gävle, Sweden. Other possible base locations in Europe include Germany (Berlin), the United Kingdom (Leicester), Norway (Bergen), Finland (Turku), and Spain (Madrid). The role includes occasional international travel. What you will do As our Data Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping how we work with data across the entire company. You'll work closely with the Domain Manager and Global IT Director to turn today's fragmented data landscape into something structured, scalable, and trusted. You will: - Build the data foundation on Microsoft Fabric, pipelines, data models, and core data layers that bring data into one place - Turn raw and scattered data into something reliable, structured, and ready to use - Define practical standards for data quality, access, and governance, simple at first, scalable over time - Enable analytics and AI by making sure the right data is available in tools like Power BI and beyond - Document what you build and help shape how a future Data & Analytics team will work In short: you'll go from a blank page to a real, working foundation that the entire business can rely on. Who you are We believe you are someone who enjoys building, improving, and making things work in practice - not just on paper. You likely have: - Experience as a Data Engineer, building pipelines, data models and platforms - Familiarity with the Microsoft data ecosystem (Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Power BI is a strong plus) - A good understanding of how data supports analytics and AI (hands-on experience is a bonus, not a must) - A pragmatic, "builder" mindset - you get things done, learn, and improve along the way - The ability to work in an environment where not everything is defined yet - A collaborative and communicative way of working - you make complex things easy to understand. Whether you're looking to take the next step as a junior, or want more ownership as a mid-level engineer, we're focused on finding the right fit. Why join Cibes? Because here, you get the chance to build something that truly matters. - Be the first Data Engineer and shape how we work with data and AI globally - Work in a down-to-earth, collaborative environment with experienced colleagues across regions - Have real impact from day one - your work will be used and visible across the business - Help build the team and set the direction for what comes next. Enjoy working from the office or remotely within Europe, with a global organisation headquartered in Sweden Ready to build something from the start? We look forward to hearing from you.
