WHO/WHAT IS ARTEFACT? Artefact is a next-generation strategy and data consulting firm dedicated to transforming organizations through data and AI. We combine the rigor of top-tier strategy consulting with deep expertise in data, digital, and analytics to help clients achieve tangible business impact. With 2,000+ consultants, data scientists, and engineers across 26 countries, we work with global leaders such as Samsung, L’Oréal, Orange, and Sanofi. At our German offices, we are on a rapid growth trajectory, advising leading national and international clients cross-industry on how to unlock the full potential of their data, build scalable data architectures, and implement cutting-edge AI solutions. As a Senior Consultant (m/f/d) Data & AI Strategy, you will sit at the center of this mission. You won't just deliver static slides; you will bridge the gap between technical possibilities and business imperatives, guiding clients from a focused short-term engagement with Mittelstand manufacturers to multi-phase AI transformations with enterprises. In this role, you will take ownership of cross-functional workstreams, drive data-driven decision-making, and actively shape the digital future of our clients. WHAT YOU WILL DO: * Client advisory & strategy: Work closely with (international) clients to understand their business needs and translate them into data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making and business transformation. * Data & analysis: Collect, synthesise and iterate data to create actionable insights. You work with a modern, AI-native toolstack - from LLM-powered environments (e.g. Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) and agentic workflow tools (e.g. n8n, Lovable) to coding assistants and automation platforms - and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with SQL or Python remains a plus, but the ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis and delivery is what we value most. * Project delivery: Take ownership of project workstreams and ensure high-quality, timely delivery in alignment with overall project goals. Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams across consulting, data, and tech functions. * Data & AI solutions: Support the development of data strategies, AI use cases, and business intelligence solutions, contributing to governance frameworks and implementation roadmaps where relevant. * Knowledge sharing & collaboration: Contribute to a strong team culture by sharing knowledge, staying up to date with digital and AI trends, and supporting continuous team development. * Business development & thought leadership: Actively contribute to Artefact’s growth in Germany - supporting client proposals, shaping new service offerings, and creating intellectual capital such as frameworks, point-of-views, and benchmarks that strengthen our market position. CANDIDATE PROFILE At our heart, we define ourselves by a culture of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and cooperation. We are looking for driven, capable talents who bring strong motivation and curiosity for new challenges. * Experience: You have at least 2–3 years of experience in management consulting, technology consulting, or in-house corporate strategy roles, with a proven track record of participating in data/AI strategy, cloud transformation, or applied AI/Machine Learning projects. * Education: A completed university degree (Bachelor’s or Master's) in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Physics, Mathematics, or a comparable quantitative field. * Data & AI Fluency: You possess a strong affinity for data management and modern AI technologies. You are familiar with concepts like Generative AI, LLMs, or predictive analytics and are eager to bridge the gap between business needs and AI deployment. Ideally, you have hands-on experience in AI use case conceptualization or data platform tracking. * Business & analytical mindset: You combine strong analytical skills with a business-oriented perspective. You enjoy identifying business problems and translating them into practical AI and data-driven solutions. * Technical skills: You are confident working with PowerPoint and Google Slides to produce polished client-ready output. More importantly, you know how to leverage AI tools - from LLM environments to agentic workflows - to run analysis, generate insights, and accelerate delivery. Experience with SQL, BI tools, or programming languages is not a requirement, but comfort with structured data and a hands-on attitude toward new tools is expected. * Communication & collaboration: You communicate complex technical topics clearly in both German and English. You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and collaborating across different levels and functions (e.g., translating requirements between business stakeholders and data scientists). * Personal attributes: You are proactive, structured, and solution-oriented, with a strong client focus and stakeholder understanding. You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy solving complex problems. * Languages: Business-fluent German and English are required - you will participate in client workshops, present to senior stakeholders, and write deliverables in both languages. Additional languages are a plus. * Work Eligibility: A valid work permit for Germany. WHY ARTEFACT? * Impactful client work: Work on challenging projects with leading national and international clients across data, digitalisation, and advanced data strategy. * Career growth opportunities: We believe in performance over tenure. Your growth is driven by your impact, not your length of service, with clear opportunities to progress and diverse career prospects. * Competitive rewards: A strong compensation package including a performance-based bonus, which is paid out half-yearly. * Learning & development: Join a team of passionate Data Consultants who actively support each other. You'll learn through diverse projects, collaboration, and exposure to leading experts in the field - including international work. * Flexibility & time off: Hybrid working model, 28 days of annual leave, plus your birthday as well as Christmas & New Year's Eve off. This position is based in Berlin or Munich. Don't worry if you don't meet all the criteria! At Artefact, we value motivation, pragmatic problem-solving, and potential above all else.If you are excited about shaping the future of AI and ready to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you. Its portfolio of international clients spans a wide range of end markets including financial services, telecommunications, travel & mobility, gaming, and other industries. This position can be based in Berlin or Munich, Germany. As a German-speaking Onboarding Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring new customers and existing customers enabling new IDnow products are correctly deployed in the most time-efficient manner possible, utilising as much of IDnow's products and services as is relevant to their context. You are the customer's primary point of contact from kickoff through hypercare. Your mandate is to implement what the customer bought, to the highest standard, and to hand off a stable, value-delivering deployment to the Customer Success Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES HANDOVER & KICKOFF * Fully absorb the Solution Engineer (pre-sales engineers) handover (solution documents, technical specs, regulatory context, stakeholder mapping) and surface the customer's real pain points and compliance requirements before implementation begins. * Lead the project kickoff — establishing governance, roles, and communication cadence, and aligning all stakeholders on a clear, time-bound delivery roadmap covering scope, milestones, and acceptance criteria. * Own the Go Live date from day one — set it at kickoff, drive every stakeholder to meet it. It is a commitment, not a target. TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION & DELIVERY * Operate as the lead point of contact and accountable delivery owner throughout the entire onboarding phase. * Manage end-to-end technical implementation: REST API integration, Mobile SDK deployments (iOS, Android, React Native), identity flow configuration, and third-party system connections. * Develop and maintain a living integration map for each customer (architecture, data flows, authentication model, SDK/API usage patterns, third-party dependencies) — handed over to the CSM at handoff. * Proactively share IDnow integration best practices throughout implementation (API usage patterns, error handling, retry logic, webhook reliability, SDK standards, security) and challenge deviations from them. * Act as the customer's trusted advisor — evangelise IDnow's technology in their specific context and explore the "art of the possible" beyond the initial scope. ISSUE MANAGEMENT & INTERNAL COLLABORATION * Act as the primary escalation point for all technical and product issues, communicating progress to the customer with full transparency and ensuring they always have a clear next step or workaround. * Liaise with Product and Technical teams to resolve issues; report recurring blockers with structured, evidence-based feedback. * Escalate critical blockers to management with full context (customer impact, SLA risk, proposed resolution path). * Ensure implementation strictly reflects contracted scope — flag any out-of-scope requests to the relevant Commercial or CSM owner. HYPERCARE & STABILIZATION * Own the hypercare phase post-go-live, tracking KPIs: conversion rate, open issue volume, SLA compliance, and end-user experience metrics. * Hand off to CSM only when KPI stability is reached and agreed success criteria are met — maintaining a clear view of the gap between actual performance and contracted targets throughout. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP * Build and maintain strong relationships with technical decision-makers (data standards, programming, IT architecture, security) and articulate benefits at all stakeholder levels to drive buy-in. * Support the pre-sale process including technical workshops, costed SoWs, and high-level project plans. * Prepare whitepapers, articles, and content to educate and engage potential and existing clients. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE * 3+ years of experience as either a Technical Account Manager or a Technical Project Manager, in a SaaS environment. * Always on the lookout for evolutions in legislation and regulations that are relevant to our customers and their markets. * Understanding of security principles and data protection regulation. * Ability to identify benefits that are relevant for all levels to improve the buy-in of customers. * Knowledge of web technologies, HTTP/HTTPS, REST API, JSON. * Knowledge of mobile technologies: native Android and iOS, Cordova and React native, and SDKs. * Practical experience with at least one programming language – ideally Python, Java, JavaScript, Swift/Objective-C is a plus. * Motivated to make a difference and passionate about process improvements. * Autonomous in project management and client relationships. * Ability to translate complex and/or technical information to different audiences. * Strong prioritization and goal-setting skills. * Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation skills. * Fluency in German and English required, other EU languages are highly valued. Desirable additional skills: * Knowledge of Cloud providers – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. * Familiarity with identity verification concepts, KYC/AML compliance frameworks, or regulated industry environments (banking, insurance, telco, healthcare). * Exposure to eIDAS, EUDI Wallet, or qualified electronic signature (QES) frameworks. PERKS & BENEFITS * Health & Wellbeing: Use your full access to the mental health platform nilo, including 1on1 sessions. * We value personal and professional development: make full use of Udemy, our training platform with 24/7 access and unlimited content/course consumption incl. certification. * We make your remote work comfy: we provide support on equipment and offer flexible working hours. * We value collaboration & love to come together: regular onsite gatherings, internal initiatives and summer parties to connect outside of work. * May your family require your attention or other reasons apply: use the benefit of our paid special leave days. * Enjoy the possibility to combine work with a longer stay at your holiday destination or extend a weekend with our Workcation possibilities. * In addition to the perks & benefits above, we offer specific benefits that differ between our locations.
