Role Overview The Senior Portfolio Analyst role puts you at the intersection of quantitative research, portfolio construction, and live investment decision-making. You'll own critical parts of the investment process, from signal validation to portfolio risk management, with direct visibility into how your work affects real capital allocation in multi-billion dollar quant equity hedge fund strategies. You'll work alongside a team of Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts, with the autonomy to shape how strategies are implemented and improved.   Responsibilities * Take ownership of day-to-day portfolio management workflows, including validating the implementation of the investment strategies * Analyze the output of our portfolio construction process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy and improve the outcomes * Identify and champion new alpha and risk management ideas from concept through to implementation * Design tools for evaluating and improving portfolio implementation and performance * Drive signal enhancement initiatives in partnership with research teams, and develop independent research ideas with a clear path to production * Own the analytical narrative for client communications and presentations * Work across teams within Man Group to solve investment, technical, and operational challenges Key Skills & Experience * Undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in accounting, finance, statistics, computer science, economics, or mathematics * Coding experience required, Python preferred * Solid understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis * Deep interest in investing and the financial markets * Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences * Demonstrated track record of self-directed projects or research * Strong sense of integrity What We Offer * Exposure to live systematic investment processes managing significant AUM * Direct interaction and mentorship from senior PMs and the research team * A culture that rewards initiative and offers strong career development opportunities The anticipated based salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation packages would also include benefits and a discretionary bonus. This is the base salary range that the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting based on the location and requirements of the position as well as the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant.  The Firm reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Support fixed income strategies from alpha generation through to trade execution and implementation, and work closely with other team members to create new and support existing strategies by identifying new investment ideas or innovative data sources; gathering and refining complex data for modeling; coding and performing statistical analysis to build and refine models; and interpreting, presenting, and implementing the results. Will also conduct research on various implementation aspects of investment strategies such as trading cost models, risk models, optimization, and portfolio construction. Key competencies * Bachelor’s or graduate degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, physics, or engineering * Passion in investment research with strong intuition and the ability to think-out-of-the-box * Strong record of original research and demonstrated problem solving ability. * Excellent quantitative skills from training in econometrics or statistics, and extensive experience in utilizing those skills in empirical research. * Strong programming skills analyzing large and complex data with statistical tools (Python preferred) * Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. * Prior experience in the investment field, especially in credit or fixed income markets, is a plus but not required. For further information on how we process your data, please see the privacy notice for applicants here * As at 31 March 2026   The Fixed Income Associate Portfolio Manager role spans a broad spectrum of research, investment, and technical tasks as part of the systematic fixed income team (Credit and Rates). The successful candidate for this highly competitive position will work closely with a team of other Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Analysts to build and implement Numeric’s investment strategies. This involves both validating the inputs to our models as well as the output from the quantitative signals used to make buy/sell decisions. The Associate Portfolio Manager will also monitor portfolio risk, analyze portfolio returns, and conduct analysis for strategy improvement and client communications. In addition to the day-to-day implementation of Numeric's strategies, successful candidates will contribute to research projects in conjunction with Numeric's central research team.   Primary Responsibilities • Work with Portfolio Managers to validate the inputs and outputs of our investment signals and assist with the day to day management of the portfolio • Analyze the output of our portfolio construction process to ensure the integrity of our investment philosophy • Assist research and portfolio management teams with enhancing existing signals and creating new signals • Work with large data sets and liaise with outside data vendors to identify data quality issues • Design tools for evaluating portfolio implementation and performance • Conduct analysis for strategy improvement and client communication Qualifications • Minimum of undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics or accounting. • Previous coding experience in Python, Matlab or R necessary. • Recent Graduates encouraged to apply. • 3+ years of quantitative analysis experience preferred. • Solid understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis. • Strong programming and statistical analysis skills. • Strong work ethic and flexible work schedule. • Detail oriented, good communication skills and a collaborative personality.
