As a Senior Appian Consultant, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable Appian solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate manual processes and enable organisations to respond faster to changing business needs. This is a hands-on consulting role requiring strong technical expertise, client engagement skills and the ability to translate business requirements into robust enterprise applications. Role Responsibilities: You are a hands-on Appian specialist who enjoys solving complex business challenges through modern low-code technology. You combine strong technical capability with a consulting mindset and enjoy working closely with clients to understand problems before designing scalable solutions. You will lead the design, configuration and development of enterprise Appian applications, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned to Appian best practices. You'll contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle, from technical design and sprint planning through to testing, deployment and production support. Working collaboratively with architects, product managers, business analysts and engineering teams, you'll help shape technical solutions that balance business requirements with implementation practicality. You'll be comfortable leading technical discussions with clients, providing guidance on solution design, integration approaches and delivery best practice while mentoring junior developers and helping elevate engineering quality across delivery teams. You'll actively contribute to Agile delivery ceremonies, supporting backlog refinement, estimation, sprint demonstrations and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play an important role in maintaining delivery quality through technical reviews, unit testing, deployment management and performance optimisation. As technology continues to evolve, you'll remain curious and committed to continuous learning; embracing new Appian capabilities and identifying opportunities to improve delivery through automation, reusable components and emerging AI capabilities.   Must have Qualifications: * Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Appian solutions within complex client * Strong experience developing Appian applications using Records, Record Types, Relationships, SAIL Interfaces, Process Models, Sites, Reports and CDTs, with the ability to manage a single application through its full lifecycle. * Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, data modelling and enterprise data structures. * Comfortable working day-to-day within blended teams of client staff and third-party vendors, building good working relationships and adapting to the client's tools, processes and team culture. * Experience designing and implementing integrations using Connected Systems, Web APIs and external services, including REST and SOAP-based integration patterns, exercising sound judgement on when to use built-in objects, expressions, rules and plug-ins versus custom development. * Experience identifying performance bottlenecks, applying caching strategies, and using the Appian Health Check report and process monitoring tab to maintain production stability within an application. * Experience implementing Appian's security model and managing Appian deployments, release pipelines, and troubleshooting production issues within a single application or workstream. * Experience producing technical design documentation, unit testing and delivering high-quality solutions against defined acceptance criteria. * Strong understanding of Appian development best practices and enterprise application design principles. * Experience working within Agile Scrum delivery teams, including sprint planning, refinement, estimation and demonstrations. * Excellent communication skills with experience working directly with business stakeholders, Product Owners and technical teams. * A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and emerging Appian capabilities. This role focuses on building and evolving curated data models, trusted metrics and well-documented semantic structures that enable reliable self-service analytics across the business. A key part of the role is partnering closely with stakeholders across business and technical functions to understand how teams operate, build trusted relationships, and translate real decision-making needs into clear, usable and governed datasets that support reporting, planning and operational insight.  The Team  The Data & Analytics team enables better decision-making across Graphcore by building trusted data foundations, scalable platforms and high-quality data products. The team works across a broad range of business and technical domains, partnering with colleagues throughout the company to improve access to reliable information, strengthen operational insightand support efficient, data-informed ways of working. Within this team, the Lead Analytics Engineer owns a key part of the analytics workflow, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and data engineers to shape data models that reflect how the business works and can be adopted with confidence.  Responsibilities and Duties  * Own the dbt transformation layer, building, maintaining and evolving data models that support reliable self-service analytics across Graphcore.  * Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across business and technical functions to understand priorities, processes, definitions and decision-making needs.  * Work closely with stakeholders to discover, clarify and challenge requirements, turning ambiguous questions into well-structured analytical datasets and trusted metrics.  * Translate business processes and raw datasets into intuitive, flexible and governed analytical models that support reporting, planning and operational decision-making.  * Design clear, maintainable SQL models with a well-structured approach to naming, layering, reuse and long-term sustainability.  * Partner with stakeholders to define, document and maintain trusted metric and KPI logic, ensuring consistency as requirements evolve.  * Implement robust testing, validation and documentation practices in dbt to improve data quality, trust and discoverability.  * Work closely with Data Engineering to align on source data structures, manage upstream schema changes and support reliable downstream consumption.  * Establish and maintain CI/CD practices for analytics engineering, including automated checks, review workflows and safe release processes.  * Optimise model performance and warehouse efficiency through pragmatic design choices, including incremental approaches, efficient joins and platform-aware tuning.  * Support self-service analytics by creating datasets that are easy to understand and consume, with clear documentation and guidance for common use cases.  * Contribute to the effective use of visualisation and reporting tools by modelling data for dashboard performance, usability and consistency.  * Apply appropriate governance and access control principles to analytical datasets, working with colleagues to support secure and appropriate self-service access.  * Help shape analytics engineering standards and day-to-day practices within the wider Data & Analytics function through collaboration, review and continuous improvement.  Candidate Profile  Essential  * Demonstrable experience building production-quality dbt models that enable reliable self-service analytics.  * Strong SQL skills and experience designing maintainable transformation layers within a modern data platform.  * Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and work closely with business users to understand requirements, processes and data needs.  * Proven ability to translate business requirements and raw datasets into flexible, intuitive data models that stakeholders can use confidently.  * Strong grasp of analytics engineering best practices, including model layering, documentation, testing and semantic consistency.  * Experience defining and maintaining trusted metrics, KPIs and curated datasets for business use.  * Strong understanding of data quality, change management and the practices needed to maintain trust in analytical outputs.  * Experience applying CI/CD practices to analytics workflows, including automated testing, deployment discipline and review processes.  * Experience working with relational databases and analytical warehouse technologies.  * Strong communication skills, including the ability to influence decisions, challenge assumptions constructively and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  * A practical, delivery-focused approach to problem solving.  Desirable  * Experience with data warehouse technologies such as Redshift, PostgreSQL or ClickHouse.  * Experience supporting self-service visualisation and reporting tools such as Superset, Metabase or similar platforms.  * Familiarity with semantic or metrics-layer tooling.  * Python experience, including building lightweight data applications or utilities.  * Experience improving dataset discoverability, documentation and adoption across an organisation.  * Familiarity with data governance practices, including access control and sensitive data handling.  * Experience working in a Git and pull-request based development workflow.  * Experience working in a fast-moving product, technology or engineering-led environment.

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Atlassian Cloud Platform Engineer to own our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem. This includes multiple sites and environments used for cross-company collaboration.  This role is responsible for maintaining the architectural integrity, security stance, and scalable expansion of the Atlassian platform. An important part of this position involves creating and managing a configuration-as-code environment. In this setup, platform settings are handled via APIs, pipelines, and source control instead of manual management, which guarantees consistency, traceability, and adherence across all locations.  You will serve as the primary platform owner, setting standards, ensuring governance, and promoting self-service features that help teams work efficiently while keeping security and configuration intact.  Collaborating with Project Managers, engineering teams, and partners, you will build scalable workflows. You will also guide platform growth and ensure the Atlassian environment adapts to the organisation’s changing requirements. This role begins with an active role that includes daily support, configuration, and onboarding efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Manage and maintain multiple Atlassian Cloud sites, ensuring secure collaboration spaces that span different companies * Act as the authoritative decision-maker for Atlassian configuration, preventing configuration drift and ensuring architectural consistency in all builds * Define and enforce governance standards aligned with audit, compliance, and security requirements * Establish and maintain a configuration-as-code operating model, ensuring all configuration is provisioned and managed through source control, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines * Build and maintain automated identity and access provisioning, coordinated with Azure AD (or equivalent), ensuring access follows established rules and is auditable * Lead automation efforts for project provisioning, workflows, permissions, and scheme management * Develop and evolve self-service capabilities to standardise project setup and reduce administrative overhead * Define and maintain best-practice configuration patterns across Jira and Confluence * Ensure secure separation of internal and third-party collaboration environments, with awareness of data governance, export controls, and security boundaries * Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on platform and workflow issues and implement preventative improvements * Act as the final point of contact for complex Atlassian issues and provide enterprise-level support * Deliver professional advice to Project Managers and engineering teams across diverse workflows and delivery models * Provide direct assistance when needed, including collaborating with Project Managers and teams to set up projects and workflows, ensuring they align with platform standards and governance * Coordinate identity and access integrations and drive automation of administrative processes through scripting and tooling * Build, mentor, and grow the Atlassian platform team, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and methods of collaboration * Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive solutions.
