We're seeking a visionary Engineering Manager to own this charter, and build the AI-powered engine that will onboard the next wave of Snowflake customers. AS A MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL LEAD A TEAM OF TALENTED ENGINEERS IN: * Lead a growing team of talented engineers in the design, development and support of our AI-powered migrations product * Deliver products in a fast-paced ecosystem of professional services, partners, and customers that rely heavily on the technology. * Guide the team through an evolving AI ecosystem to build AI-first products. * Support engineers in their career development by providing clear feedback and developing engineering leaders * Translate product requirements into engineering work for your team * Collaborate with other local and global teams/leaders in the Engineering and Product Management organizations * Use your strong foundation as a technical leader to reliably deliver on complex projects while keeping the quality bar high * Foster a culture of creativity and innovation while also promoting practical decision-making OUR IDEAL ENGINEERING MANAGER WILL HAVE: * Extensive experience (7+ years) building and delivering enterprise products * 3+ years of experience leading and scaling a team of engineers, driving the design, development, and support of an AI-powered migrations product. * Strong familiarity with data ecosystems (databases, analytics, data engineering, ETL) * Experience building and delivering tools or platforms for data engineers or developers * Proven experience delivering products, particularly those involving AI-powered code translation, developer co-pilots, or complex semantic validation WHY JOIN OUR MIGRATIONS TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE? Senior Engineering Manager - Agentic Analytics

We are responsible for building the core query engine used to process the massive amounts of diverse data managed by our customers. A core part of the Database Engineering group is the Query Language team which is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core SQL features, including advanced analytics, scripting, and the developer experience. We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to own and drive the effort to build core database capabilities to serve agentic workloads. AS A SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO: * Drive the evolution of core database and SQL capabilities to serve emerging AI and agentic workloads alongside traditional analytics * Lead and grow a team of talented engineers in the design, development, and support of a highly-parallel and fault-tolerant SQL database system * Support engineers in their career development by providing clear feedback and developing engineering leaders * Translate product requirements into engineering work for your team * Collaborate with other local and global teams and leaders across the Engineering and Product Management organizations * Use your strong foundation as a technical leader to reliably deliver on complex projects while keeping the quality bar high * Foster a culture of creativity and innovation while also promoting practical decision-making OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: * 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale systems (distributed systems, databases, or cloud services) * 5+ years of experience leading teams to build database system internals (experience leading managers is a strong plus) * Rock solid engineering fundamentals; query processing experience is highly preferred but not required * Exposure to AI, ML, or agent-driven workloads and how they consume data platforms * A track record of recruiting and leading technical teams in a demanding talent market * Proven experience authoring roadmap documents, project plans, and RCAs * Strong problem solving skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING: * Background in database internals or large-scale data processing systems, e.g., Hadoop, Spark, etc. * Prior experience running SQL database engineering teams * Proven experience authoring product roadmaps, preparing and reviewing project design and test plan documents, and managing projects with JIRA WHY BE A SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER FOR DATABASE ENGINEERING AT SNOWFLAKE? The Snowflake Postgres team is building a fully managed, cloud-native Postgres service that delivers the reliability, performance, and scale developers expect that is paired with a data experience that seamlessly ties into Snowflake. As a Senior Engineer Manager, you'll help define the architecture, push the boundaries of Postgres in the cloud, and shape one of Snowflake's most strategic new products AS A SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE YOU WILL: * Provide strong technical leadership across both the Postgres data-plane and the orchestration/control plane required to deliver a managed service (HA, upgrades, backups, scaling, automation, and operational safety). * Break problems down and build consensus across multiple parties to reach solutions that are scalable, tractable, and timely. * Function as both a problem solver and a problem finder by building the roadmap while delivering it. * Leverage your experience to balance long-term thinking with more immediate business needs. * Understand trade-offs between consistency, performance, scaling limits, and costs to build solutions which can meet the demands of rapidly growing services. * Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the commitments to our customers regarding durability, availability, performance, and security. * Solve real business needs at large scale by applying your software engineering and analytical problem solving skills. OUR IDEAL SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER WILL HAVE: * 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale systems (distributed systems, databases, or cloud services). * 5+ years of experience building, managing, and leading high-performing engineering teams (and experience leading managers is a strong plus). * Strong track record of delivering large-scale, resilient systems and services in production. * Significant experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and building services with high availability and operational rigor. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence across org boundaries. * Strong hands-on technical ability; comfortable navigating complex codebases and diving deep into system design and implementation. * BS/MS in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience. * Postgres depth: experience with Postgres as an end user, operator, or administrator; strong understanding of database fundamentals and tradeoffs (consistency, performance, scaling limits, cost). OR * Love of Postgres. You have worked with Postgres as an end user or administrator. You have a solid understanding of database fundamentals.
