Observe by Snowflake is an AI-powered observability platform built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud and engineered for scale. We
ingest and store logs, metrics, traces, and events on an open, scalable data lakehouse, using open formats like Apache Iceberg, at
dramatically lower cost. A dynamic Context Graph and chat-based AI SRE provide rich context and automated workflows so teams can

Leading engineering teams at companies like Capital One, Topgolf, and Dialpad rely on Observe to troubleshoot hundreds of

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
* Develop interactive, data-rich user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Vega, with a focus on integrating LLM-driven
features (e.g., natural language querying, generative UI, and AI-assisted data storytelling).
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of substantial product features, ensuring AI outputs are presented with high reliability and low
latency.
* Work closely with PMs, UX designers, and AI/ML engineers to bridge the gap between complex model outputs and intuitive user
experiences.
* Be a strong contributor to team planning, specifically identifying opportunities where Generative AI can simplify complex
technical workflows for our users.
* Champion the use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to maintain high code quality and accelerate
delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 7+ years of industry experience building and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
* Deep day-to-day knowledge of React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
* The ability to balance functionality, delivery speed, and the unique performance challenges of AI-integrated frontends (e.g.,
streaming responses, optimistic UI updates).
* A drive to understand how frontend development—and specifically Human-AI Interaction (HAI)—impacts the overall customer
experience.
* A proactive approach to learning, especially regarding the evolving ecosystem of AI frameworks and frontend integration
patterns.
BONUS POINTS:
* Experience with commercial dashboarding products (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Looker) or integrating AI into BI tools.
* Deep knowledge of the DOM, CSS, Canvas, and XHR, specifically for optimizing the rendering of large-scale AI data sets.

THE TEAM
On the AI Backend team at Observe by Snowflake you'll be at the forefront of how AI is reshaping the way engineering teams
operate; building the platform that powers intelligent, automated workflows across observability and beyond. Our team is small,
and moves fast, with real ownership over hard problems that span agentic APIs, real-time pipelines, and AI quality. You'll work
alongside talented engineers across ML, product, and backend, with the reach and resources of Snowflake behind you. If you want to

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
* Design and build backend systems that power Observe's AI product layer from context resolution APIs to real-time alert-to-agent
pipelines
* Own services end-to-end across design, implementation, and production reliability
* Bring strong product intuition to technical decisions; understanding how your work connects to user and agent outcomes, and
contribute to shaping what gets built
* Collaborate closely with product managers and AI/ML engineers to ship high-quality, well-designed systems in a fast-moving

QUALIFICATIONS
* 7+ years of backend engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems at scale
* Strong computer science fundamentals and backend engineering depth across APIs, data infrastructure, and distributed systems
* Fluency in Go, with the ability to work across TypeScript and Python
* Familiarity with evals or LLM quality measurement and the ability to apply them as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Monitoring & Alerting team at Observe by Snowflake. Observe is an AI-powered
observability platform built on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud, engineered for enterprise scale. The Monitoring & Alerting team owns
one of the most mission-critical products in observability, sitting at the intersection of AI, platform engineering, and
customer-facing use cases. Every decision you make directly shapes whether engineering teams detect and resolve incidents faster
or get paged unexpectedly at 2 a.m.
AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
* Drive high-impact features end-to-end: from anomaly detection and compound monitor logic to simple alerting workflows, owning
scope, architecture, and delivery
* Design and scale the monitoring and alerting pipeline to support high concurrency and high-throughput SQL workloads, ensuring
reliability for hundreds of terabytes of telemetry processed daily
* Own the full product surface of the monitoring system, iterating on backend behavior, AI agent interactions, and pipeline
internals based on direct customer feedback
* Build AI-native workflows for monitor creation and alert triage, bringing intelligence to every step of the
detection-to-resolution lifecycle
* Collaborate cross-functionally with forward deployment engineers, product managers, designers, support engineers, and sales
engineers to solve real customer reliability problems
* Mentor junior engineers, lead technical design decisions, and contribute to engineering excellence across the team
* Work across the backend stack as needed: persistent queues, event-driven architectures, and high-concurrency SQL systems
OUR IDEAL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:
* 5+ years of backend development experience, with a strong record of shipping reliable, high-scale systems (or equivalent
experience)
* Deep understanding of high-concurrency and high-scalability system design, including distributed workloads, persistent queues,
and fault-tolerant architectures
* Strong programming and debugging skills, with the ability to navigate complex systems under pressure
* A product mindset: you seek to understand user motivation and use cases before diving into technical solutions
* Demonstrated experience owning and delivering medium-sized projects end-to-end with minimal guidance
* Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical design decisions
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
