A 6 month commercial role at the centre of Beauhurst’s expansion into Germany, designed as the launchpad into a permanent commercial career. You’ll support on live deals from day one, contribute directly to how we win the German market, and (if it’s the right fit on both sides) convert into a full-time commercial hire at the end of the internship. ABOUT BEAUHURST We’re building the leading provider of private company data and analysis in Europe. Private companies represent 80% of private sector employment and over 90% of revenues across Europe. They are the engine of innovation and the source of most of the jobs and tax receipts in the economy. Yet for anyone trying to find, track or understand them, the data is a mess – outdated, inconsistent, scattered across thousands of sources, and impossible to verify by hand at any meaningful scale. We’ve spent 15 years fixing this. We use custom-built data extraction tools and pipelines, proprietary AI, and a team of 60+ in-house analysts to identify, extract and verify data from thousands of sources – covering 20 million companies, 24 million people, 232,000 transactions, and 1,000+ new news articles a day. Our platform, API, and consultancy services are trusted by our clients to enable them to make better decisions, drive revenue, reduce risk, and save time. Founded in 2010, we work with over 500 organisations across venture capital, major financial institutions, corporates, leading universities, and the Government. We’re not stopping here. We launched in Germany in 2025 as our first step in international expansion, and are now scaling across Europe – Ireland next, then more. THE ROLE Germany is our first international market and Berlin is where we’re building it. You’ll join the international team as our first commercial hire in market, working directly with Beauhurst’s International Expansion Lead (the hiring manager). The work is research-led and deal-adjacent: you’ll build the intelligence behind our most important conversations, run targeted outreach in English and German, and progressively take on more of the commercial frontline. The 6 month internship is the trial run. If both sides are right by the end of it, this role has the potential to convert into a permanent commercial position – Commercial Analyst, progressing into Account Executive or Business Development Manager – at a market-rate salary. Your day-to-day will include: * Account research and pre-call briefings: Build the intelligence we walk into every commercial meeting with – company background, decision-makers, signals, use cases, fit. * Targeted outreach in English and German: Personalised, intelligence-led emails and calls to a small set of prioritised accounts. Quality and timing, not volume. * Region intelligence: Work with our Insights team on dashboards covering local German government that we use to open conversations with inward investment agencies and strategic partners. * Market segmentation support: research the nuances of German industry segments (professional services, corporate development, public sector) to inform ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) development, and identify the most effective routes into each - membership bodies, referral partners, events, and key influencers - to help prioritise where the team invests time. * Competitive monitoring: Build the structured view we use to position against NorthData, Creditsafe, Orbis, and others in the German market. * Trial and onboarding coordination: Help our most important first impressions with new German customers land well and support the coordination of onboarding new German clients alongside our Customer Success team. * Frontline progression: As you grow into the role, there is the opportunity to take on discovery calls, own specific accounts, and start contributing to your own pipeline. ABOUT YOU * Fluent business German and English. You can draft professional written work in both and handle live commercial conversations in German. Ideally, a native German speaker. * An active user of AI tooling. You are already bringing Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI assistants into your day-to-day work – for research, drafting, summarising, and thinking faster. * A recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s), available to start full-time and not currently enrolled in a degree programme. * Demonstrably interested in a commercial career – business development, account management or commercial strategy. * Strong written communication. You can take messy inputs and produce a clean one-page brief. * Eligible to work in Germany. The traits that matter most: * Commercially curious: You’re interested in why companies buy, what good selling looks like, and how successful businesses grow. * A natural relationship-builder: Emotionally intelligent, a great listener, and someone who looks to add value in every interaction before making an ask. * Coachable and resilient: You actively seek out feedback, bounce back fast from setbacks and are able to offer suggestions proactively. * Detail-oriented and prepared: You do the hard yards before every conversation – background research, sharp questions, a clear point of view. APPLY To apply please submit: * Your up-to-date CV * Answers to the simple screening questions below Please note that applications with generic answers to these questions will be automatically rejected.
