YOUR MISSION The role of Business Manager at ALTEN USA includes the following responsibilities: Business Development * Creating new business opportunities by prospecting new customers within engineering sectors * Manage existing account relationships supporting active Client projects * Optimizing business profitability with mid-size accounts * Close deals on service-based contracts (fixed-price, delivery-based) or on time-based contracts (delegation of consultants) * Responsible for determining proposal and pricing strategy to close sales and win business. You will be the crucial link between detailed financial transactions and executive-level strategic decisions. Your mission is to move beyond simple reporting to provide high-impact analysis that estimates potential, mitigates risk, and steers the company toward its strategic targets. In this role you will * Assist key stakeholders on special projects to support strategic decision making (e.g. "what if" strategic analysis, global business forecasting, new product P&L projections). * Independently analyze financial information and highlight trends and variances to comparative periods and forecasts. Present your findings and propose action plans. From top-level P&L and CF, drilling down to specific divisional performance and project level details. * Create simulations and financial models to evaluate organizational structure changes, helping leadership understand the financial impact of shifts in headcount, departments, or global direction. * Use data and business knowledge (including relevant KPIs, ROIs etc) to create clear insights and actionable recommendations. Your goal is to help decision-makers improve overall company performance and optimize processes. * Create various financial models and simulations in Excel to test different scenarios. * Use your analytical drive to evaluate the effects of new decisions. You will point out not just the risks, but the hidden opportunities based on internal performance monitoring. * Create monthly performance reports and propose actionable insights. * Calculate impact of company decisions and monitor total budget coverage. * Supervise the implementation of new strategies, evaluate how they perform and, if needed, suggest additional action points. * Help the company find opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability. * Create and review all relevant internal processes (financial processes in connection with project management flow, project and department goals, etc.) and controls to ensure efficiency. Your experience * At least 7+ years of professional experience in Strategic Finance /FP&A and/or Strategic Finance controlling. * Demonstrated history of taking on various types of challenging projects and delivering results. * Strong background working with data-oriented tools, such as Excel and PowerBI. * Experience with financial investments and accounting (including accounting standards) is a plus, as is experience in the tech or entertainment industries.
