EdgeTier is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to do some of the best work of their career. This is a hands-on role
within our backend team with real ownership. This means you'll be expected to operate independently from the start and hold
yourself to a high standard.
The way we build software is evolving. AI coding agents are part of our everyday workflow, and we're looking for someone who knows
how to direct, review, and get the best out of those tools — not someone who treats them as a shortcut. We care about the quality
of the output, not just the speed of it.
This is a small, high-trust team. In this role, you'll find more autonomy, more impact, and more accountability than you would in

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us take REDAPL, our Referential Data Platform, to the next level. REDAPL is Datadog's main platform for tracking our customers' infrastructure resources and relationships. The platform enables products where customers can understand, keep track of, and gain insights into their infrastructure related to performance, cost, security, and more. Many Datadog products use REDAPL today such Cloud Security Posture Management, Resource Catalog, Cloud Cost Management, and Service Catalog and others - REDAPL ingests more than 4.5mil updates/second. As a Senior Engineer, you will drive, lead and collaborate on projects both inside and outside the platform. What You’ll Do: * Build a query engine that supports efficient relationship traversals for our most demanding workloads. * Contribute to design and drive high-priority, high-visibility projects to increase the platform's value, resilience, and scalability across multiple teams. * Lead and guide other engineers through architectural platform decisions * Identify potential system risks and trends in reliability and design solutions to address them * Provide input on prioritizing engineering-led initiatives in short- and long-term planning and roadmaps * Collaborate with internal product teams to understand their requirements and how we plan for their product growth as they integrate and depend on REDAPL Who You Are: * You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience * You have worked extensively with multiple types of data stores * You have contributed to initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment for several years * You have led impactful technical initiatives in an environment where performance, cost efficiency, ease of use, and resilience/operability are first-order concerns * You have significant back-end engineering experience and have built, and operated distributed systems to solve problems at a high scale Bonus points: * You have experience working with Graph Databases such as Neo4j, Memgraph, JanusGraph, ArangoDB, Amazon Neptune or PuppyGraph. * You have production-grade experience with Apache Iceberg * You have a solid grasp of query planning or better yet - contributed to a production-grade query engines or related projects (e.g. Trino, Calcite, Substrait, DataFusion, etc) ideally demonstrated through open-source contributions or PMC membership on projects. We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Migration Services team, which owns Atlas Live Migration. This diverse group of engineers is responsible for architecting, deploying and managing fully automated, low-downtime data migration services at cloud scale. Our tooling is built directly into our cutting edge, multi-cloud database service, MongoDB Atlas, and is critical for migrating enterprise workloads into Atlas. As a Senior Engineer on this team, you will design and build new solutions to address our scalability, performance, and usability challenges. This role can be based out of our Dublin office or remotely in Ireland. RESPONSIBILITIES * Work closely with product, design, and engineers across the organization to collectively build features that our customers love * Stay up to date on the latest advancements in Cloud computing and software development to bring them into our product * Solve difficult technical problems in a distributed environment * Own the planning and delivery of major features from ideation through design and implementation * Define your top priorities and focuses, then communicate and execute against them * Mentor and contribute to the growth of team members CANDIDATE PROFILE * 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, primarily focused on backend systems * Skilled at writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language (Java, C#, Go, etc.) * Comfortable working across the stack of a modern web application (e.g. React, TypeScript, Enzyme) * Experience with at least one major cloud provider technology (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Led the launch of new features and maintained them in production * Curious, collaborative, empathetic and intellectually honest * Motivated to solve tough problems and continually expand their knowledge * Excellent written and verbal communication skills SUCCESS MEASURES * In three months, you are developing a deep understanding of MongoDB and our migration tooling.
