Als Information Security Officer bij Scholt Energy ben je verantwoordelijk voor het borgen van informatiebeveiliging en privacy
binnen een datagedreven en gereguleerde organisatie. Je ontwikkelt en implementeert organisatiebreed beleid en zorgt voor de
juiste balans tussen risicobeheersing en het ondersteunen van de business.
Je volgt ontwikkelingen in wet- en regelgeving en technologische trends en vertaalt deze naar concrete verbeterinitiatieven die
aansluiten op de strategie van Scholt Energy. Daarbij maak je complexe materie begrijpelijk en begeleid je collega’s in de
dagelijkse toepassing. Je werkt nauw samen met verschillende disciplines, stuurt op voortgang en kwaliteit van security- en
privacy-initiatieven en verzorgt heldere rapportages richting management en toezichthouders. Incidentmanagement en het vergroten
van security awareness binnen de organisatie vormen een belangrijk onderdeel van je rol.

Start je dag tussen 7.00 en 9.00 uur. Je werkt minimaal drie dagen per week op kantoor en de rest kan je (indien gewenst)

About the role The Information Security Officer is subject matter expert, and a member of the Information Security team in the second line of defense. The team is tasked to provide governance, oversight and guidance, meaning to ICT write policies, and monitor and control first line’s compliance towards these policies. The team also has a number of security capabilities that we provide ourselves, such as technical security scanners or security training activities. While the team’s primary responsibility is governance, oversight, this is a small bank and you will also play a hands-on role in driving security initiatives, designing procedures, and building security capabilities. You will directly influence the secure design of systems, support risk management, and respond to security incidents. Much of information security material needs a significant rewrite, so this role comes with a great opportunity to use prior experience to influence the Bank’s ways of working, risk appetite and ultimately its risk posture. You will have a blank canvas to modernize our security framework, moving us from legacy documentation to a lean, ISO 27001-aligned 'Version 2.0.' This is a rare opportunity to use your experience to directly shape the Bank’s ways of working, risk appetite, and long-term security posture. What you will do Translating information security requirements into practical, effective, and business-aligned policies, procedures, guidelines or strategies. Northmill is both a bank and payment provider in multiple European regions, and also has a number of business requirements affecting information security. Monitor compliance for our internal information security rules and our applicable business and regulatory requirements. DORA, GDPR, PSD2, FFFS, Visa, Swift, Swish, Bankgirot, Rixbanken, etc. Structure information security requirements in the ISMS in alignment with the ISO 27001 standard. Act as an advisor and lead for information, cyber security, or privacy incidents. Serve as a subject matter expert within privacy and data protection Act as subject matter expert in relation to our PCI-DSS certification and conduct readiness assessments towards the business. Keep track of that recurring tasks are performed as needed. Contribute to reporting towards supervisory authorities (e.g. SFSA, IMY, FIN-FSA) Ensure that the organization has relevant security awareness and training in place Lead and participate in Business Impact Analysis, ICT vendor approval, the Register of Information, Critical and Important functions, ICT Risk assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments, IA-act risk assessments, NPAP, and various GAP analyses. What we are looking for Experience working as an Information Security Officer or in a similar role Hands-on experience in developing policies, procedures, and security frameworks A pragmatic mindset and a strong understanding of how to balance regulatory requirements with business needs Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment A collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with different parts of the organization Professional proficiency in both Swedish and English (Finnish or German is a plus) Based in Stockholm, with EU/EEA residency or citizenship Certifications such as CISM or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are meritorious, but not required. THE ROLE: INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER This role exists because as we scale our infrastructure and customer base, protecting the systems, data, and trust that underpin Hyperstack is a business-critical priority. You'll have direct ownership over NexGen Cloud's information security posture — from policy and risk frameworks through to incident response and compliance programmes. This is a role for someone who operates independently, thinks in systems, and understands that good security is both a technical and a business discipline. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Rather than a long checklist, here's what success in this role looks like: * Own the development and maintenance of data security policies, standards, and procedures across the organisation * Drive the information security roadmap, coordinating activities across Risk and Compliance, Engineering, and Operations * Lead risk and vulnerability assessments, ensuring findings translate into prioritised remediation actions * Oversee data classification, encryption, and access control frameworks * Lead incident response planning, investigation, and remediation — including playbooks, communications, and documentation — tracking actions through to closure * Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Legal, and Compliance to embed security by design * Manage third-party security risk and vendor assessments, escalating material risks appropriately * Build and deliver security awareness programmes across the organisation * Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory reporting ABOUT YOU: We're more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV. About the role Sitting in our 2nd Line Function, the Information Security Officer (ISO) plays a pivotal role in helping the bank achieve its growth ambitions in a compliant and secure manner. Working with the Chief Risk Officer and Data Protection Officer the role holder will ensure the bank has robust and proportionate policies, standards and control frameworks in place. Working with 1st Line colleagues from across the bank, but particularly those responsible for Information Security, IT, Operational Resilience and the management, storage and use of data, will provide independent assurance of the efficacy of the control environment and support the delivery of projects and transformational change. A trusted expert and critical friend, the individual will be responsible for working directly with the bank’s Executive Team and Board to ensure they have a transparent understanding of the bank’s risk posture and responsible for increasing Information Security awareness, skills and understanding across the bank.
