About the Role
We are currently looking for a Bot Workshop Trainee Technician to join our team at Ocado’s CFC in Erith.
The Bot Workshop team are responsible for the diagnosis and repair of Ocado robot sub-assemblies and Printed Circuit Boards
(PCBs), as well carrying out Root Cause Analysis to help deliver continuous improvement to Ocado’s robot infrastructure.
This role will be focussed on the testing and repair of the Robot sub-assemblies and PCBs on a daily basis, and ensuring quality,
fully operational spares are available for use to support the operation.

General Responsibilities Program Governance & Delivery Oversight * Own end-to-end program governance — establishing the PMO structure, governance forums, and reporting cadences. Define and manage the integrated program plan across all workstreams (RPA, Agentic Workflows,Generative AI), tracking milestones, dependencies, and critical path. * Run project planning, reviews, and RAG with technical leads; maintain velocity metrics and remove blockers. * Ensure all deliverables are tracked against scope, schedule, budget, and quality criteria, with proactive escalation of deviations. * Maintain program documentation status reports, and decision logs — to the highest standards. Risk, Issue & Change Management * Own the program RAID log. * Proactively identify, assess, and prioritise risks across all workstreams with clear ownership and mitigation plans. * Design and enforce the change control process — evaluating scope changes for impact on timeline, budget, and resources before presenting recommendations to the steering committee. Establish escalation pathways and manage critical issues to resolution. * Conduct regular risk workshops to embed a risk-aware culture within the delivery team. Client & Stakeholder Management * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients program stakeholders — building trusted relationships with business sponsors, technology executives, and operational teams. * Prepare and present executive-level status reports, steering committee packs, and milestone reviews to senior leadership. * Facilitate alignment between clients internal teams and the delivery organisation, managing expectations and resolving conflicts. Resource & Capacity Management * Own resource planning across the program — forecasting demand, managing onboarding/offboarding, and ensuring the right skills are available across all workstreams. * Track utilization, manage bench transitions, and coordinate with HR and recruitment for timely fulfilment of open roles. * Foster a high-performance, distributed team culture — supporting wellbeing, recognizing contributions, and maintaining morale. Budget, Commercials & Financial Governance * Own the program budget — tracking actuals against forecast, managing contingency, and producing monthly financial reports for internal and client governance. * Identify and escalate budget risks early; implement corrective actions to maintain P&L health. * Support commercial activities including SOW management, change order negotiations, invoice tracking, and contract renewals. * Contribute effort estimates, resource plans, and delivery timelines to pre-sales and solutioning for new workstreams or extensions. Automation and AI Program Context & Digital Fluency * This role requires a Program Manager with hands-on fluency across modern AI and automation delivery — capable of holding credible, substantive conversations with AI Engineers, Architects on feasibility, timelines, and technical dependencies. * Oversee delivery of intelligent automation and RPA workstreams — understanding bot lifecycle management, exception handling frameworks, orchestration platforms, and the interplay between RPA, AI, and enterprise systems. * Act as a translator and bridge between business stakeholders who think in outcomes and technical teams who think in architectures — facilitating shared understanding and aligned decision-making across both worlds. Continuous Improvement & Reporting * Establish and track program KPIs and OKRs; * Produce regular insights on delivery health, team performance, and program ROI. * Lead retrospectives and implement lessons learned to build a culture of continuous improvement. * Contribute to internal PM frameworks, playbooks, and templates for AI program delivery — creating reusable assets for future engagements. Qualifications & Experience * 5+ years of program management experience managing large-scale digital transformation, Automation, or AI/ML programs. * Experience with UiPath migrations * Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams of 15+ people across multiple concurrent workstreams. * Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe delivery frameworks; comfortable operating in hybrid Agile-Waterfall environments. * Experience with program financials — budget ownership, P&L tracking, and commercial/contract management. * Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills — able to adapt style for engineering teams, business sponsors, and C-suite audiences. RESPONSIBILITIES • Act as a subject matter expert on Stripe's Radar product suite to accelerate opportunities globally. • Demonstrate a deep understanding and point of view on trends in the fraud and risk management ecosystem, including AI-powered detection, processor-agnostic architectures, and the shift from payment fraud to holistic business risk (e.g., policy abuse, account takeover, first-party misuse). • Develop expertise with the functional and architectural patterns for deploying advanced fraud systems, including the lifecycle of rule management, ML model tuning, and manual review optimization. • Understand the ecosystem of risk and identity integrations (e.g., device fingerprinting, identity verification, bot mitigation, case management) Stripe must support for our users to be successful. • Define, share, and learn best practices and reusable assets with the broader GTM organization to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team. • Create reference architectures to uplevel the team and refine reference solutions based on product enhancements and feedback from customers. • Partner closely with the Radar product sales team and be an active part of the opportunity team for Stripe's largest and most complex Radar customers to lead strategy and own key customer relationships. • Partner closely with the Radar product team to get early exposure to the new products and features. • Serve as a "Voice of the Customer" internally to drive product and feature request prioritization, providing actionable insights on the competitive landscape and emerging fraud vectors. • Act as an escalation point to drive our most complex technical issues to resolution with Stripe's engineering team. • Support customers and Stripe teammates on account or deal strategy, and answer product feature and technical questions. • Understand the sales process for the product and provide the Sales team with tools and training to qualify potential leads. • Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation. • Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • 7+ years of experience in a pre-sales, technical consulting, product, or risk strategy role focused on e-commerce fraud prevention, risk management, or trust and safety • Deep working knowledge of the fraud and risk ecosystem, including payment fraud (CNP), account takeover (ATO), first-party misuse (friendly fraud), and policy and content abuse • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management architectures, including the role of rules engines, machine learning models, and manual review queues in fraud decisioning • Strong knowledge of the signals and data used in fraud detection, such as device and IP data, behavioral biometrics, identity verification, and graph-based analysis • Strong knowledge of software engineering and architecture patterns, with the ability to understand how a wide variety of technologies and systems interact with each other • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, comfortable explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences • Interest in solving open-ended business problems with a combination of technology and creative thinking • A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience integrating Stripe or other RESTful APIs into web applications • Experience with processor-agnostic fraud solutions and multi-processor payment environments • Experience with risk management for various business models, such as platforms and marketplaces, subscription services, and digital goods and SaaS • Familiarity with liability shift programs (e.g., chargeback guarantees) and value-based pricing models for risk products • Understanding of how to extend fraud protection beyond payments to other products like payouts (Issuing), physical payments (Terminal), or recurring billing (Billing) • Experience as a subject matter expert in a relevant industry, vertical, or product
