Your responsibilities will include the design and development of plastic parts such as dashboards, panels, trims, consoles, storage solutions, and other parts for the operator environment. You will work with concepts, packaging studies, CAD modeling, drawings, turning A surfaces into B surfaces, and supplier interfaces throughout the development process. You will also support verification activities, tolerance investigations, and continuously improve existing solutions based on customer feedback and production learnings. You will collaborate closely within our cab team and with other functions and colleagues around the world. We do too, and we are excited to grow together. We believe you have experience in plastic part design, preferably within automotive, off-highway, or other mobile applications. Knowledge of manufacturing methods, material selection, and design for assembly and cost principles is highly valued. Experience in designing interior and exterior parts and surface modelling is considered a strong advantage. You are familiar with engineering tools such as CAD and PLM systems and feel comfortable working in a technical development environment. As a person, you are structured, collaborative, and solution-oriented, with the ability to balance detailed engineering work with a broader system perspective. You are a strong communicator who enjoys working cross-functionally in an international and multicultural environment. While you bring valuable experience to the team, you are also curious, eager to learn, and motivated by continuous improvement. You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Plastics Engineering, or a related field and have a few years of experience within plastic design. You will develop and maintain service and repair methods for Volvo Construction Equipment products, with a primary focus on wheel loaders and powertrain components.  Your responsibilities will include:  Developing and improving service and repair methods and instructions for aftermarket operations.  Supporting product development projects with serviceability expertise.  Planning and executing service procedure development and time studies.  Designing and validating special tools and workshop solutions.  Collaborating with technical writers to ensure accurate and high-quality service documentation.  Driving new ways of working by exploring and implementing digital technologies such as AI, VR, and other innovative solutions.  Working closely with design engineers, product specialists, and other stakeholders across Volvo CE.    In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence how future products are maintained and serviced while contributing to an improved customer experience worldwide. Who are we? Methods Engineering Wheel Loader and Powertrain is part of Aftermarket Service Technology within Volvo Construction Equipment. We are a team of approximately 20 skilled and engaged colleagues based in Eskilstuna.  Our mission is to develop service methods, technical documentation, spare parts solutions, and serviceability improvements for wheel loaders, axles, transmissions, and engines. We combine technical expertise with a strong customer focus to deliver solutions that support uptime, safety, and sustainability. Who are you? You thrive in a collaborative environment and are motivated by continuous improvement and innovation.    To be successful in this role, you likely have:  Hands-on experience working with heavy vehicles, construction equipment, or similar products.  A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.  Strong technical understanding and an interest in developing efficient service solutions.  Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.  A structured and analytical way of working.  A valid driver's license (B).    It is considered a merit if you also have experience with:  CAD and/or PDM systems.  Hydraulics, electrical and electronic systems.  Engines, transmissions, or driveline components.  Service development, workshop operations, or technical documentation.    We know that no one checks every box. We are looking for a test engineer, preferably with a flying probe technology focus, to complete the team and help us keep delivering products of the high quality we are known for! Are you our new Test Engineer – Flying Probe? As a Test Engineer, you will have the chance to lead and participate in projects, assisting with test related issues in production. You will work on maintaining HW and SW updates on products, troubleshoot and develop test programs and methods for our products and platforms. The Test Engineers work close to several other teams; such as Quality, Project Office and the Production Team. You will develop new tests in development projects as well as analyze and troubleshoot in maintenance projects. We mainly use LabView for programming. Part of the job is also to document test plans and instructions. Continuous improvements are important to us, and you will have the opportunity to, together with colleagues, develop the tools, functions, and processes in order to help us take the next steps in our journey!
