Purpose of Position We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between development and operations, enabling efficient and seamless software delivery. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure, and automation tools. We are looking for someone who can go beyond execution and take true technical ownership of our platform - driving architecture decisions, mentoring peers, and leading critical projects as we transition from on-premises infrastructure to AWS. You will be a senior technical voice within the team, working closely with the Engineering Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the future of our platform infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Act as a staff-level technical lead - own epics, drive architecture decisions, and set the technical direction for platform initiatives. * Lead the migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS, ensuring continuity and resilience throughout the transition. * Champion best practices in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and platform reliability. * Serve as a go-to expert and escalation point for complex technical challenges within the team. * Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure across both cloud (AWS) and on-prem environments. * Manage and optimize the on-premises virtualization platform (Proxmox/Ceph) while progressively shifting workloads to AWS. * Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (AWS) and Ansible (on-prem). * Manage networking components including firewalls, switches, and related security configurations. * Ensure platform security through TLS certificate management, Vault, and close collaboration with the Security team * Participate in the on-call rotations (approximately every 6 weeks) covering the full platform stack - from infrastructure to CI/CD layers. * Respond to and resolve production incidents in a timely manner; contribute to post-mortems and continuous improvement. * Support and improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
