We’re a growing consultancy that’s built its reputation on doing things a bit differently. Over the past 10 years, we’ve doubled
in size, become one of the first consultancies globally to achieve B Corp status, and earned a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in
Sustainable Development, all things we’re genuinely proud of.
We place just as much value on how we work as what we’ve achieved.
No overly corporate culture, no being boxed into one type of project, and no being just another name in a large team. Instead, we
focus on giving people the space to take responsibility, deliver high-quality work, and contribute to complex civils and
infrastructure projects that have a real and lasting impact.
You’ll be working on projects that shape communities and environments, in a team that values collaboration, straight talking, and
doing things properly.
It’s about building strong relationships, taking pride in what you deliver, and continuing to develop in a way that feels natural
rather than forced.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in civils and infrastructure, ideally with
experience across strategic land and large-scale residential schemes.
You’ll be confident leading projects from the front, managing client relationships, and acting as a trusted and reliable point of
contact. This is a role where you’ll have real ownership, not just of delivery, but of how projects are shaped and relationships
are built.
Our Gloucester office has strong momentum, an established client base, and a genuinely collaborative team. This role is about
stepping into that environment and playing a key part in both delivering high-quality work and supporting the continued growth of
the team.
You’ll be leading on complex infrastructure projects, working closely with the Project Management Partner, and supporting the
development of more junior colleagues. Alongside delivery, you’ll contribute to client relationships and help build on the strong
reputation we’ve already established.
What tends to work well at Ward Williams is less about ticking boxes and more about how you approach your work:
Impact – you take ownership and want to make a meaningful difference.
Imagination – you’re open to new ideas and always looking for better ways of doing things.
Authenticity – you’re straightforward, collaborative, and easy to work with.
People are in the office, working together, sharing ideas and solving problems as a team. There’s a strong sense of momentum in
Gloucester, with a growing pipeline of work and a culture where people support each other and get stuck in.
It’s a collaborative and hands-on environment where knowledge sharing happens naturally and everyone plays a part in delivering
projects successfully. People know each other well, work closely together, and genuinely enjoy being part of the team, which
creates a positive and supportive atmosphere day to day.
You’ll work closely with the Project Management Partner and wider team, with the opportunity to take on real responsibility and
play a visible role in the office as it continues to grow.
You’ll play a key role in leading the delivery of civils and infrastructure projects, taking responsibility for outcomes and
building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders along the way.
Alongside project delivery, you’ll support the growth of the Gloucester office, contribute to new opportunities, and help develop
more junior members of the team.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience delivering civils and infrastructure projects, either within a consultancy or
client-side environment.
You’ll be confident managing clients, stakeholders, and project teams, with a solid understanding of project delivery and
commercial awareness. Experience across areas such as strategic land, utilities, or large-scale residential developments would be
beneficial.
A professional qualification (MRICS, MCIOB, APM or equivalent) is desirable, as is the ability to operate at a senior level with
confidence, reliability, and a proactive approach.
Be part of a culture that values you, not just for what you do, but for who you are.
Ward Williams is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone
can thrive.
