Your role
As a C++ Autosar Software Engineer with Capgemini, you will contribute to the development of advanced automotive systems and cutting-edge vehicle technologies. Whether you are early in your career or an experienced professional, you will work closely with industry leaders to design and implement solutions that enhance safety, performance, and user experience.
In this role you will play a key role in:
Designing and developing Autosar based embedded software solutions in C++ for automotive applications
Implementing and testing system-level functionalities with a focus on safety and reliability
Collaborating in agile teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with industry standards
Supporting troubleshooting and integration during launch phases
Your profile
Strong programming skills in C/C++ and experience in system software design (2+ years preferred)
Strong Experience with AUTOSAR, embedded systems architecture, and agile methodologies
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments, GIT, CI tools, and test automation
Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are highly meriting
European B license is a plus

Som Automotive Software Engineer arbetar du med utveckling av mjukvara för fordonsfunktioner och elektrifierade system. Du kommer att vara aktiv i hela utvecklingskedjan – från krav och arkitektur till integration och test – och du får arbeta både praktiskt och metodiskt i avancerade utvecklingsprojekt.I rollen kommer du att arbeta nära systemingenjörer och arkitekter för att översätta krav till en robust mjukvaruarkitektur, där du använder modellerings- och designverktyg som stöd i arbetet. Du ansvarar för att designa och utveckla applikationsfunktionalitet och algoritmer, antingen genom att skriva ren och effektiv kod i C eller C++, eller genom modellering och implementering i Simulink. Arbetet innebär också att du deltar i och bidrar till moderna CI/CD miljöer och använder versionshanteringsverktyg som Git, Gerrit, Jenkins och Docker.Du stödjer verifierings- och valideringsaktiviteter genom hela mjukvarans livscykel, vilket inkluderar statisk kodanalys, enhetstestning samt testning i MIL-, SIL- och HIL miljöer. En viktig del av rollen är även att säkerställa stabila byggprocesser och hantera mjukvaruintegration på ett strukturerat sätt. Utöver detta arbetar du tvärfunktionellt och multidisciplinärt enligt MBSE principer och agila arbetssätt. I denna roll arbetar du antingen i våra interna projekt eller på uppdrag ute hos någon av våra kunder.

Minst 3+ års erfarenhet av embedded mjukvaruutveckling inom fordonsindustrin
Förslag: Erfarenhet av OEM processer inom fordonsindustrin, gärna från svenska aktörer (Erfarenhet från arbete inom svensk fordonsindustri)
God förståelse för AUTOSAR metodik och verktyg
Stark programmeringsvana i C och/eller C++
God förståelse för UML och SysML
Erfarenhet av Davinci Developer/Configurator och EB tresos
Flytande engelska i tal och skrift
B körkort

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automotive Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle of embedded systems for automotive applications, from requirement analysis through to qualification testing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and work independently to deliver high-quality software components.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze software and hardware requirements for automotive embedded systems.
· Design system architecture, detailed modules, and software interfaces.
· Develop, test, and integrate embedded software, including hardware drivers and bootloaders.
· Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and qualification testing in compliance with automotive standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system bring-up and debugging.
· Document design specifications and test procedures.
· Work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
What You'll Bring
· 3+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems development.
· Proficient in C/C++ programming; scripting experience in Python, Shell, or Perl.
· Strong understanding of microcontrollers, device drivers, and embedded systems.
· Hands-on experience with bootloaders, cross compilers, and toolchains.
· Familiarity with software development lifecycle and working with hardware manuals, schematics, and data sheets.
· Practical experience with automotive communication protocols: SPI, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet.
· Experience with debugging tools, simulators, emulators, and test equipment.
· Team player with excellent self-management and communication skills.
Nice to Have
· Experience with AUTOSAR Classic Platform development.
· Familiarity with AUTOSAR Configuration Tools (e.g., DaVinci, ECU Spectrum).
· Understanding of Functional Safety concepts (ISO 26262).
· Experience with multi-threaded and multitasking systems.
· Knowledge of Automotive SPICE or CMMI frameworks.
