Job description:As an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing innovative solutions within the rapidly evolving field of automotive electronics. We are looking for a driven individual who is motivated to continuously broaden their expertise in electronic hardware, contributing both at customer sites and to the development of our in-house capabilities. The position is part of our Hardware and Systems Development team, based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
AVL takes part in a wide range of projects within Vehicle, Hybrid and Electromobility in the automotive industry. AVL MTC has approximately 200 employees based in Gothenburg, Stockholm, Haninge and Södertälje. As an engineer at AVL you will work with cutting edge technology in collaboration with experts in the global AVL team and our successful customers. You will be working close to our local customers in Gothenburg area within the AVL facilities or as Resident Engineer at customers in Sweden.
Profile description:• Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronic engineering with relevant work experience in Electronics and Mechatronics • 6-8 years automotive demonstrable experience in development of Embedded Hardware and Power Electronics • Good knowledge of handling EMC/EMI requirements, trouble shooting and engineering methods to maintain compliance• Multiple years of experience in schematic and layout design in Altium designer and electronics simulation in LTspice.• Knowledge of Automotive domain i.e. Design Standards and design processes

PCB Design Engineer Location: Gothenburg Region, Sweden Employment Type: Full-Time Consultant Assignment About the Assignment We are looking for a skilled PCB Design Engineer to join a product development team working with advanced embedded electronic systems in a highly regulated industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys transforming hardware concepts into reliable, manufacturable PCB designs and contributing throughout the entire product development lifecycle. In this role, you will work closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, mechanical designers, test engineers, and manufacturing partners to develop high-quality electronic products with demanding requirements regarding performance, reliability, and compliance. Responsibilities Design and develop multilayer PCB layouts for complex embedded electronic systems. Collaborate with hardware engineers during schematic capture, layout planning, and design reviews. Optimize PCB layouts for signal integrity, power integrity, EMC/EMI performance, thermal management, and manufacturability. Create and maintain design documentation, fabrication files, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs). Support prototype builds, bring-up activities, debugging, and verification testing. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure smooth transition from development to production. Manage component footprints and schematic symbol libraries. Job description and responsibilities We are currently looking to expand our R&D department with an RF test and automation engineer. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our RF measurement and automation systems. You will be working closely with both our production and R&D teams to ensure we have reliable and efficient systems in place to streamline our production and qualification activities. You are expected to have a strong drive, attention to detail, and a goal-oriented mindset.
