Surgical Science is a global organisation and leading provider of medical training simulations and software solutions. Surgical Science is listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market.
Together with healthcare partners and customers in more than 90 countries, we enhance patient safety and healthcare outcomes through evidence-based, state-of-the-art simulation technology that improves clinical proficiency and performance - enabling safe and effective training without putting patients at risk.
Our solutions are used by medical training centres, universities, hospitals, and the medical device industry for practice, assessment, and certification.
With offices in Gothenburg (HQ), Stockholm, Tel Aviv, Cleveland, Cardiff, and Shenzhen, we are a fast-growing and stable organisation in a rapidly evolving world. We foster a hybrid work culture that supports onsite and remote collaboration across teams and time zones.
You'll build things with your hands. The things you build will help surgeons save lives.
Not many production jobs come with a mission like that. At Surgical Science, we manufacture medical simulation systems — the haptic feedback devices, surgical instrument simulators, and anatomical models that healthcare professionals use to train and sharpen their skills before they operate on real patients. Every unit that leaves our Gothenburg facility has to be built right.
We're looking for a Production Technician to join our team. If you're someone who takes pride in precise, careful work and wants to be part of something that actually matters, read on.
What you'll actually do
Assemble and test medical simulation products according to detailed technical specifications
Operate production equipment and tools safely and correctly
Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions — and flag it when something doesn't add up
Perform quality checks on your own work and report defects clearly and accurately
Keep your workstation and surroundings clean, organized, and safe
Record production data accurately so the team always knows where things stand
Contribute ideas and support initiatives that make the production process better over time
What you need to bring
Around 2 years of experience in production, assembly, or a similar hands-on technical role
Good manual dexterity and genuine attention to detail — you notice things others might miss
Comfortable following technical instructions and working methodically
A team-player attitude: dependable, open to feedback, and willing to ask when you're unsure
Basic computer skills for production data recording
Good communication in Swedish and/or English
Even better if you have
Experience assembling or testing electronics, mechatronics, or precision hardware
Familiarity with quality control procedures or ISO-regulated production environments
Experience using ERP or production tracking systems
Where this can take you
This is a real starting point, not a dead end. At Surgical Science, production technicians who show curiosity and initiative have moved into senior technician roles, specialist positions in QC, or technical support functions. You'll gain hands-on experience with some of the most sophisticated medical simulation hardware on the market — skills that travel well in the MedTech world.
