We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our R&D team in Gothenburg.

About the Role

In the role you will lead complex, high-impact development projects within our global R&D organization. In this role, you will

take ownership of end-to-end delivery, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, meeting quality standards, and drive innovation

across our product portfolio.

You will play a crucial role in strengthening project management practices and driving continuous improvement, while mentoring

colleagues and contributing to the development of both products and people.

As a Project Manager (R&D), you will:

Lead and coordinate cross-functional R&D projects across global teams (R&D, Supply, Marketing, Regulatory & Legal)

Own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities

Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory standards, and internal development processes

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and compliance risks proactively

Plan, execute, and continuously improve project methodologies and ways of working

Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across projects and teams

Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure alignment across functions and leadership levels

Deliver clear reporting and strategic recommendations to steering committees

Your Profile

Experience & Background

Degree (BSc/MSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Engineering team leader

Experience from product development of products including electronics, mechanics and embedded SW

Experience from managing cross-functional projects in global environments

Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) is a plus.

Senior Mechanical Engineer - Take end-to-end responsibility for the mechanical design Ascom develops mission critical, near real time solutions used in hospitals, elderly care, correctional facilities and other demanding environments. What we require * 10+ years in mechanical product design with end-to-end responsibility for end products (not only parts). * Strong Creo (Pro‑E) capability - you can lead advanced MCAD work confidently. * Proven experience designing molded plastic for series production. * Experience working in, and designing with, standards and regulated expectations (UL/ETL/IEC; ISO/FDA). * Comfort operating in a cross functional reality where electronics, quality and purchasing run in parallel, and dependencies must be actively managed. Strong advantages (we’ll notice these) * Surface modeling / surface driven modelling experience (working from provided design surfaces rather than creating everything from scratch). * Experience with industrial design handoffs. * Hands on prototype mindset (fit/feel/seal robustness, practical iterations).
