Din roll som RAN systemingenjör inom 5G:
Vi är ett team som ansvarar för att utveckla och förbättra 5G nätens prestanda med avseende på tillgängliga radioresurser; exempelvis skedulering, länkadaption, tidskritisk kommunikation och antennstyrning. Du får möjlighet att jobba med design och specifikation av algoritmer på basband, konfiguration av 5G nät och analys och optimering av dess prestanda. Rollen innebär bland annat att man utför och leder genomförandet av nya features (funktioner) i basstationen, vägleder våra design- och test-team i utvecklingsprocessen samt analyserar eventuella felrapporter på systemnivå. Det ges möjlighet att vara involverad i produktutvecklingen hela vägen från idéstadiet till driftsättning av feature hos stora globala kunder.
Du kommer att ingå i ett inhouse-team tillsammans med kollegor som har många års erfarenhet inom området. Arbetet utgår från vårt kontor på Lindholmen i Göteborg, där du två dagar i veckan ges möjlighet att jobba hemifrån. Resor kan förekomma i tjänsten.
Vem är du:
Lämplig utbildningsprofil är Civilingenjör eller Ph.D. med inriktning på Elektro, Teknisk Fysik, Datateknik eller annan Civilingenjör/Universitetsutbildning med inriktning inom Telekom och kommunikationsteknik. En solid kunskap inom kommunikationsteori och signalbehandling är särskilt värdefullt. Vi söker en person med bra kunskap om 3GPP-baserade kommunikationssystem inklusive 3G, 4G och 5G, med särskild vikt på de lägre lagren i protokollstacken.
Du bör ha ett analytiskt förhållningssätt och en stark förmåga samt vilja att sätta dig in i komplexa problem inom denna domän. Det är även meriterande om du har goda erfarenheter av olika AI-verktyg. Vi värdesätter att du är dedikerad och självgående med utmärkt samarbetsförmåga. Det är viktigt att du har ett personligt intresse och driv att ständigt utveckla din kompetens som del av ett team av specialister och experter. Goda kunskaper i engelska är ett krav för tjänsten, men det är även meriterande om du behärskar svenska. Du bör ha en god förmåga att bygga professionella relationer både internt och externt. Grundläggande programmeringskunskaper, såsom i Python, C, Matlab eller liknande är meriterande, då dessa används för utvärdering och analys av prestanda.
Då tjänsten innebär arbete som kan omfattas av försvarssekretess krävs det att du genomför och godkänns i en säkerhetsprövning med en eventuell registerkontroll.

TECHLA is now looking for an experienced system profile within 5G RAN/Baseband for an exciting consulting assignment in Gothenburg. This role is a great fit for someone with a strong technical interest in radio systems, communication theory, signal processing and the development of functionality in modern mobile networks.
About the role
In this role, you will work with system development within 5G RAN, focusing on developing, analyzing and improving the performance of baseband-related functionality. The work may include areas such as radio resource management, scheduling, link adaptation, time-critical communication, antenna control and optimization of 5G network performance.
You will work closely with development, design and test teams and be involved throughout the development chain, from early ideas, analysis and specification to implementation, verification and deployment of new features.
Examples of responsibilities:
Design and specification of algorithms within RAN/Baseband
Systemization and requirements breakdown for new base station features
Analysis and optimization of 5G network performance
Work related to radio resources, scheduling, link adaptation and antenna control
Support to design and test teams throughout the development process
Analysis of fault reports and technical issues on system level
Contribute to the development of new features from early concept to customer-facing product environments
We believe you have
Experience from 5G RAN, Baseband or similar telecom systems
Good understanding of 3GPP-based communication systems, such as 3G, 4G/LTE and 5G NR
Experience from the lower layers of the protocol stack, such as L1/L2, PHY or MAC
Knowledge within communication theory, signal processing or radio algorithms
Experience from system work, algorithm design, technical analysis or performance optimization
The ability to understand complex technical problems and drive them forward
Good English skills, both spoken and written
It is meritorious if you have
Previous experience from Ericsson, Combitech or another RAN/Baseband-related environment
Experience with scheduling, link adaptation, RRM, MIMO, beamforming or antenna control
Experience with Python, C, MATLAB or similar tools for analysis, simulation or performance evaluation
A Master of Science or Ph.D. within Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Telecom, Communication Technology or a similar field
Experience using AI tools in technical development work
Swedish language skills
