In recruiting, AI may support us in screening and structuring applications. It does not replace human judgment, but helps us reduce bias and ensure a consistent candidate experience. Your application is always reviewed by real people. If you would like to learn more about the process, please visit the website of our partner Hi People. Here you will find information about the data protection guidelines as well as the most recent security checks. This gives you complete clarity on how your data is protected and processed. YOUR MISSION Join our newly established origination team and work at the intersection of two things we care deeply about: finding great companies, and building an AI-forward way of working. In this 50/50 role, you'll spend half your time on hands-on deal origination across our private and growth equity strategies — and the other half building AI-powered workflows that make our team (and the broader firm) faster and sharper. It's a rare chance to develop a newly set-up origination function and to be at the forefront of applied AI inside a real business. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES * Deal Origination * Support active sourcing through focused research and company identification that feeds our pipeline * Prepare for industry fairs and events — identifying relevant ones, building target lists, and supporting follow-up * Draft tailored, high-quality outreach to potential investment targets * Run expert and advisor searches to support founder conversion or deal assessment * AI & Workflows * Build and refine AI-powered workflows that automate repetitive origination steps — outreach drafting, DD work, operations tasks * Prototype internal AI tools, agents, and "skills" together with our Head of Internal AI * Support AI enablement across the broader firm, helping teams adopt AI in their day-to-day * Spot new automation opportunities and continuously improve what's already running YOUR PROFILE * Currently pursuing a Master's (preferred) or finishing a Bachelor's degree, ideally in business, economics, or a related field * Genuinely at the forefront of using AI — you experiment constantly, use AI tools daily across your work and life, and have a strong instinct for what's possible. (You don't need to be a developer or regular coder.) * A solid understanding of business and the investment world — you can quickly grasp why a company is interesting and communicate it crisply. (A heavy banking/consulting analytical background is not required.) * Structured, independent, and proactive working style, with excellent written and verbal communication * Reliable and happy to work regularly on-site at our Munich office * Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written * Valid work permit for Germany (mandatory) * Available for a 3, preferably 6 month full-time internship **One thing we'd love to see:** In your application, tell us about something you've built, automated, or meaningfully improved using AI — a workflow, a tool, a side project, anything. WHY US? * Build, don't slot in. You'll help create an origination function and an AI-native way of working from the ground up — not plug into a fixed process. * Unusual access. You'll work side by side with our origination team and Head of Internal AI, with exposure to how AI strategy gets set at the top of the firm. * Real ownership. The workflows and tools you build get used by colleagues across an ~80-person firm. Your work is visible and it matters. * Breadth. Across our three investment strategies, you'll get exposure to diverse industries, business models, and markets. * Entrepreneurial DNA. Backed by entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial families, we move with a long-term mindset and a genuinely flexible mandate.
