The Retail Operations Lead, North America is a pivotal role in bridging Polène’s global standards with the realities of the North
American market. Based in New York City and reporting to the Area Manager, this person is responsible for adapting and
implementing HQ strategies and operational frameworks to support both the existing retail network and upcoming store openings
across the region.
By partnering closely with HQ Retail teams and local boutique teams, this role ensures the strong execution of company strategy,
drives operational excellence, and supports a consistent and elevated brand experience. The Retail Operations Lead plays a key
role in translating global processes into practical, store-friendly solutions that fit local realities while preserving brand
standards.
This is a highly hands-on role. Beyond analytical rigor, the person in this position must be willing to spend significant time on
the ground in boutiques to understand operational realities, identify pain points, and turn observations into clear, actionable
improvements that support store teams without adding unnecessary complexity.

THE ROLE As part of the Retail Training & Excellence team and based in New-York, you will report to the Retail Excellence Hub. You will join a stimulating environment within a House undergoing rapid international expansion. In this role, you will support Retail teams across North America in developing their skills, elevating client experience, and driving performance. MISSIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES As a key ambassador of the Retail Training strategy in North America, you will play a central role in transmitting the House’s DNA and supporting operational excellence. Your responsibilities will be structured around five main pillars: 1. CULTURE & ADVOCACY * Embody the House’s values and standards * Build trust with in-store teams * Foster a culture of continuous, constructive learning 2. DESIGN & ADAPTATION * Adapt global training modules to local cultural specificities * Ensure training content reflects the expectations of luxury clients in China and Singapore 3. TRAINING DEPLOYMENT You will lead training sessions and field coaching across four core pillars: * The History of Maison Polène * Product Expertise: leather goods savoir-faire, materials, and collections * The Selling Ceremony: luxury service codes and personalized hospitality * Performance: sales techniques and client loyalty 4. CLIENT EXPERIENCE & FLOOR MANAGEMENT * Monitor client satisfaction indicators, including NPS and Client Experience Evaluation * Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of client experience * Support floor management and client welcome standards * Ensure the onboarding of new talents 5. WITHIN THE FINANCE TEAM Reporting to our Subsidiary Accounting Lead, you will ensure the reliability and quality of the accounting records of our European entities by overseeing accounting entries, month-end closings, reporting, reconciliations, and cash flows. You will also act as a key point of contact for local accounting firms and operational teams, supporting the company’s growth through a transversal understanding of accounting, administrative, and operational challenges. 1/ Bokkeeping & General Ledger Review * Prepare monthly ledger extracts * Review the General Ledger (GL) and perform account reconciliations (intercompany, payment methods) * Prepare accruals for accounting purposes 2/ Reporting & External Accountant Communication * Prepare monthly reporting extracts for external accounting firms (DK, DE, IT, AU) * Act as the main point of contact for local accounting firms * Provide supporting documentation and respond to accounting firms’ requests 3/ Treasury & Cash Management * Execute transfers to the parent company entity according to the Group cash management plan * Monitor incoming and outgoing cash flows 4/ Retail Operations & Stores * Maintain regular communication with Store Managers to ensure proper reconciliation of cash and card transactions * Reconcile store sales collections (POS) with bank statements * Support operational teams during new store openings 5/ Group Interface & Cross-functional Collaboration * Collaborate with the financial analysts on modification requests and financial queries * Act as a point of contact for operational teams on accounting, tax, and administrative matters across Europe Our expectations * You hold a higher education degree with a specialization in Accounting or Finance and have at least 3 years of professional experience in general accounting. You have a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, General Ledger processes, reconciliations, and cash management. You are proficient in Excel and comfortable using digital tools. Knowledge of SAP is a plus. You are rigorous, autonomous, and demonstrate a strong team-oriented mindset. You have excellent interpersonal skills and are comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. Au sein de l’équipe Finance Sous la responsabilité de notre Subsidiary Accounting Lead, vous assurez la fiabilité et la qualité de la comptabilité des des entités européennes en supervisant les écritures comptables, les clotûres, les reportings, les rapprochements et les flux de trésorerie. La connaissance de SAP est un plus. * Vous faites preuve de rigueur, d’autonomie et d’un esprit d’équipe développé. * Vous avez un excellent relationnel et savez collaborer avec des interlocuteurs variés. * Vous parlez anglais couramment et appréciez travailler dans un environnement international et multiculturel.
