Effectors Group. This role will support the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for the Next Generation
Counter Uncrewed Aerial System Missile (NGCM) in support of national defense objectives. This is a hands-on, mid-career
engineering role focused on embedded electronics, power systems, avionics, and missile subsystem integration and associated
testing. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, government customers, and suppliers to deliver

Workplace: On-site, 5 days per week Location: Huntsville, Alabama The Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Lead will be responsible for the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of NGCM HWIL systems supporting Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), avionics, and missile subsystem validation. This role owns the full lifecycle of HWIL system development from requirements definition through integration, test, and customer deployment. This individual will lead a small multidisciplinary team and serve as the technical interface between GNC, systems engineering, propulsion, and program management. The role involves working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment to solve complex engineering problems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in simulation development, system/subsystem modeling, software integration, and testing, along with hands-on experience in missile systems. This position will interact with Guidance and Control (GNC) Engineers to evaluate system performance and drive system requirements to maximize the capabilities of the system. The M&S PE will also work with the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) engineering team to integrate/support the simulation use within the HWIL. These development efforts will generally be small focused design teams, which will require engineers to use a range of skills and tools across traditional engineering, computer science, and mathematical disciplines. Because of the nature of the development efforts, the engineer will need to work on a variety of stages of development including requirements definition, concept design, prototyping, detailed design, validation and verification testing. You will also need to be comfortable with supporting missile tests at remote sites, engaging in various testing and simulation activities to validate and enhance system performance.
