Finance Analytics Team Leader - FP&A (f/m/d)

Purpose of Position Awin’s Financial Analytics team sits at the intersection of finance, data and commercial decision-making and is fundamental to shaping the company’s financial future and strategic direction through expert data analysis and financial modelling. We are looking for a Team Leader to take us to the next level, acting as a Product Owner for the company’s suite of financial reporting, KPIs and business planning Technical proficiency in data, a background in finance, and a commercial mindset are critical for this role. But more than that we need someone who can tell a story with data, who understands what business leaders need to make decisions and has the courage to innovate.    Key Tasks * Own Awin’s financial reporting and forecasting suite including sales, revenue, customer lifecycle, opex, personnel and KPIs, delivered using BI and EPM tools * Support Global Head of Financial Analytics in vision & strategy, roadmap planning and innovation such as the integration of new tools, AI and ML * Translate roadmap into phases of discovery, design, implementation, and validation, ensuring each phase has defined deliverables, owners, and timelines * Define business logic and semantic layers for Awin’s financial and business analytics * Collaborate with and serve as the first point of contact for business stakeholders to understand and solve real business problems * Coach two direct reports (Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst) and one dotted line (Data Engineer), fostering technical growth and innovative problem-solving alongside consistently high-quality deliverables * Collaborate closely with other squads across Data Engineering to ingest and model necessary data * Manage the squad backlog: refine requirements, prioritise user stories, ensure clarity and alignment with stakeholders * Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives   Key Skills * 5+ Years in Financial or Business Analytics including Product Ownership / Squad Leadership experience and knowledge of Accounting / Finance * Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance, Business or Analytics related field * CIMA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent (preferred, not required) * Expertise with SQL and Tableau is essential; experience with an EPM platform (e.g. Pigment, Anaplan) is a strong advantage * Fluent English; an additional European language is advantageous given the multi-location remit but not essential * A future business leader, the ideal candidate is analytical, pro-active and inquisitive, with a proven ability to take ownership and generate valuable new ideas. We are looking for a (Senior) Finance and Accounting Manager to be the backbone of our day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role sitting at the intersection of accounting, billing, and process improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out all key financial operations, including preparatory accounting (vorbereitende Buchhaltung), spend management and client invoicing, across all our bunch entities. We’re looking for someone who can rock accounting but has expanded (or wants to further expand) into financial generalist topics and take on more responsibility across the finance function. In your role, you will have direct exposure to the full finance function of a fast-growing fintech. You will report directly to the Head of Finance and will have the opportunity to grow your role within the Finance Team over time; for appropriate senior-level experience, you can enter at a Senior Manager role. From day one, you will play a critical role in strengthening and optimising our financial operations as we grow and scale across markets. YOUR ROLE * Handle all our preparatory accounting (including assigning cost centers and cost units) on both the creditor and debtor side (Kreditoren- und Debitorenbuchhaltung) and be responsible for exports to our external accountants in all our jurisdictions. * Own our spend management processes, including weekly invoice review and approval, credit card and employee reimbursement management, and direct debit setup, and make sure we pay our bills on time. * Run quarterly and annual invoicing across all products and jurisdictions and take the lead on reducing manual effort by working with our analytics and other teams to improve and automate our invoicing setup. You'll also track client payments and flag overdue accounts. * Support our monthly close by coordinating with external accountants across all jurisdictions and entities, ensuring timely delivery of monthly and annual accounts and that our external partners always have what they need on time. * Support on our regular tax filings, such as for VAT, across our entities. * Conduct monthly payroll reviews and serve as the internal point of contact for payroll-related questions — including social security, health insurance, pension contributions, and employee benefits — as well as financial employee policies such as expense reimbursement. * Support equity financing rounds alongside Legal, Strategy, and FP&A — including due diligence and data room preparation. You'll also pick up one-off banking and insurance needs as they arise. About you * At least 2–4 years of experience in an in-house finance role, reputable consultancy, or completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte/r) or accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter/in).
