What you'll do: * Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey. * Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience. * Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs. * Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health. * Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit. * Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care. * Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care. * Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support. We're looking for a Part-Time traveling Orthodontic Dental Assistant, to provide coverage in Charlotte (Huntersville, Kannapolis, and Steele Creek) on Thursdays and 2 days a month in Winston-Salem. As an Oral Surgery Treatment Coordinator at Ideal Dental, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care and support to both our patients and dental team. What You’ll Do: * Treatment Plan Presentation: Meet with patients after their clinical exam to explain the recommended treatment plan in clear, easy-to-understand language. This includes detailing the procedures, the reasons they are needed, and the expected outcomes. * Discuss the cost of treatment and present financial options. * Work with patients to verify insurance benefits, handle pre-authorizations, and explain what their insurance will and will not cover. * Address patient anxieties and objections about treatment, helping them feel comfortable and confident in their decision. * Coordinate and schedule appointments for all phases of treatment, including follow-ups. * Maintain and update patient records, ensuring all financial and treatment information is accurate. Responsibilities * Welcome patients to our office in a warm and pleasant manner while maintaining multiple phone lines and checking in and checking out patients. * Present and create treatment plans. * Handle and communicate patient financial arrangements. * Maintain and fill appointment schedule. * Communication with general teams. * All other duties as assigned.
