You will join the Battery Product Lab within R&D Handheld Battery Electric Products – a team of experienced and curious test engineers working close to the products and the development projects behind them.
As a team, we support several development projects in parallel, sharing test responsibility, knowledge, and problem-solving. The work is hands-on and varied, combining laboratory testing, field testing, and analysis. Collaboration and technical discussions are a natural part of everyday work, and you will have colleagues who are just as interested in how and why things work as you are.
About the role
In this role, you work with testing and verification of handheld, battery-powered products such as grass trimmers, brushcutters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws.
The position is broad and gives you influence across large parts of the product development cycle. You are involved from planning and setting up tests to executing, analyzing, and following up results, making sure the products meet performance, functionality, and quality requirements before they reach the user.
Mechanical, functional, and performance testing, as well as developing and improving test methods and measurement techniques
Verifying and documenting technical performance in different phases of product development
Close collaboration with design engineers, project teams, and other R&D functions – often acting as a coordinating link between different technical specialists
Designing fixtures and test rigs, and analyzing and reporting test results
Field testing is a natural part of the job and takes place both in Sweden and, when needed, internationally. If you enjoy seeing how products perform in real-life conditions – not just in the lab – this role offers exactly that.
Overall, the position offers high variation, a strong hands-on element, and good opportunities to grow within testing and verification of modern battery-powered products.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a technical interest and a broad technical understanding. You enjoy combining practical testing with analysis and documentation, and you feel comfortable collaborating with different functions in a development environment. You work in a structured way but can adapt quickly when priorities change.
Have a technical education, for example within mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering – or have gained equivalent technical competence through professional experience
Are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
Previous experience from testing and verification, laboratory environments, or product development is considered an advantage, but curiosity, technical interest, and a hands-on mindset are just as important.
