Why we do it. Greener. Fairer. Future.
The role
Customers are at the heart of everything we do at Octopus Electric Vehicles. We are constantly seeking new ways to improve our customer experience, and we are looking for someone to play a pivotal role in shaping how we do that.
Our customer journey generates a huge amount of data – from the interactions we have with them (calls, emails, complaints etc.), to the actions we take to get them into the EV of their dreams.
This data is currently collected and cleaned in our data platform (managed by our Data Team). We need someone who can help us use that data thoughtfully and effectively to create meaningful, actionable insight on what is really happening for our customers and our teams. Someone who can turn fragmented operational data into meaningful insight. And, most importantly, someone who can help make that insight operational: embedded into how teams work, how leaders make decisions, and how the business improves.
This is a role for someone who can move fast, think clearly, operate with precision, and help us turn data into better customer outcomes.
London based (minimum 3 days a week in office) and 1 or 2 trips to Brighton a month.

We are looking for a Customer Operations Specialist who is passionate about delivering exceptional, high-quality service. You are the primary point of contact for our drivers, guide them through their leasing journey, from the point they order the car to when it is returned, and everything in between, acting as their expert guide through the transition to zero-carbon driving. At Octopus Electric Vehicles, our service happens on the front lines, primarily over the phone. We need someone who can turn a complex logistics update into a reassuring conversation and a potential complaint into a 5 star Trustpilot review. You will manage the driver’s journey from the moment we place their order, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. This is a hybrid role - 2 days in office per week minimum, in either London or Brighton

We'd love to hear from you if you have...🔍 * Proven experience building social strategies for ambitious consumer brands, with a strong understanding of how social can drive brand growth and cultural relevance. * Deep expertise in social-first content, creators, cultural marketing and platform behaviour, with a clear view of where social is heading next. * Strong understanding of how AI is changing creative production, content operations, localisation and reporting, with ideas for how it can be applied responsibly and effectively. * Experience reviewing channel performance and turning insight into bold, practical recommendations that teams can act on. * Experience transforming content teams, improving workflows and introducing new ways of working that increase pace, creativity and impact. * Confidence influencing senior stakeholders, driving change at pace and making clear recommendations that leave a lasting impact. * A thoughtful leadership style, with the ability to coach others, bring teams with you and create clarity in fast-moving environments. * Ideally, experience shaping youth, creator or culture-led strategies across multiple European markets.
