HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group within Hitachi Energy that develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems globally. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances, via submarine cables, and to connect power systems.
The Auxiliary Commissioning team is a global team within the HVDC Construction and Commissioning division. The team consists of commissioning engineers specializing in auxiliary systems such as auxiliary power, HVAC/climate systems, fire protection, and other building services. We are a diverse, multicultural team working closely across disciplines – and we look forward to you joining us.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that fire protection systems are safely commissioned and fully operational in HVDC projects worldwide.
Your responsibilities
Commissioning of fire detection and fire protection systems
Signal interface testing of fire panels
Preparing test instructions and related documentation
Cost estimation for fire system commissioning
Collaboration with fire system suppliers and contractors

Your background
Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning fire systems
Experience with VESDA systems within the high voltage industry is considered an advantage
CFPA or NFPA certification is considered an advantage
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within mechanical, electrical, fire engineering, or building services
Experience in other auxiliary systems (e.g. auxiliary power, HVAC) is considered an advantage
Strong communication skills in English
A team player who enjoys collaborating across disciplines
Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively worldwide, sometimes on short notice
Due to the international nature of the role and extended assignments outside Sweden, you have the unrestricted ability to travel and work across Europe for longer periods
