The opportunity
We are looking for an engaged, people-focused and technically curious Team Manager for our Valve Electrical Design team within HVDC in Sweden.
In this role, you will lead a team responsible for the detailed electrical design of Optical current transformers (OCT) and related equipment used in HVDC and SVC applications. You will play an important part in shaping both the technical delivery and the team’s long-term development.
You will join a global organization where collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement are key. The Valve Electrical Design organization currently includes around 80 colleagues across Sweden, India, and China, and we are in an exciting phase of growth and transformation.
As a Team Manager, you will be part of the Valves management team and report to the Head of Valve Electrical Design.
The location for this role is in Ludvika where most of the team works.

Your background
Have an engineering background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) or equivalent experience
Bring experience from electrical design, product development, or similar technical areas
Have experience leading teams, projects, or technical initiatives.
Are interested in supporting and developing people, and enjoy teamwork and collaboration
Are structured and able to create clarity, helping your team prioritize and succeed
Communicate clearly and enjoy working with different stakeholders
Are fluent in English; Swedish is a plus

The opportunity The Electrical Plant Design team is part of Engineering within HVDC, carrying the electrical design responsibility for greenfield HVDC projects on a global scale. The organization consists of approximately 130 employees across six countries. The team is responsible for engineering the Auxiliary Power System and station cabling for HVDC converter stations. From drawings and detailed design to installation support and final documentation, we bring electrical systems to life — driving the green energy transition in close collaboration with Plant Civil Engineering, Plant Mechanical Engineering, and Project Management. We are now looking for a Local Manager to lead one of our Electrical Plant Design engineering team in Sweden. In this role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring that engineering delivery meets business and contractual requirements in terms of scope, quality, cost, and on‑time execution. You will lead a local team of approximately 10-15 engineers and play a key role in strengthening engineering capability, performance, and long‑term sustainability. The opportunity As Team Manager HVDC Control & Protection IT and Cybersecurity, you will lead a team delivering secure IT/OT design solutions for HVDC Control & Protection systems across global projects. The role combines people leadership, cybersecurity-focused technical governance, and project execution. How you’ll make an impact Lead and support an IT/OT design team with strong focus on IT and cybersecurity. Build an inclusive, collaborative, high-performing team culture. Own and govern IT/OT and cybersecurity design for HVDC Control & Protection systems. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, IT/OT architecture, and engineering standards.
