Are you passionate about shaping the future of network infrastructure? As our new IT Product Owner - Network, you'll play a key strategic role in driving the evolution of Axis' network landscape, translating business needs into forward-looking technology strategies. This role is based at our headquarters in Lund.
Who is your future team?
You'll join the IT Network team within our Infrastructure & IT Operations department. The team plays a vital role in ensuring that Axis' network infrastructure supports our position as the world leader in network video. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, Infrastructure & IT Operations, and Information Systems - collaborating with skilled and dedicated people who share a passion for technology, innovation, and doing great work together.
What you'll do here as IT Product Owner - Network
As IT Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind Axis' network strategy. You'll translate business needs into clear, actionable plans and ensure that our network infrastructure stays ahead of the curve - creating a sustainable competitive advantage for Axis. While this role does not include formal people management, it carries significant informal leadership - you'll guide, coordinate, and inspire fellow engineers and represent the Network Technology Area in strategic forums across Axis and with external partners.
Develop, drive, and present the overall strategy and roadmap for the Network Technology Area
Identify opportunities where network technologies can deliver tangible value to Axis' core business
Break down strategic plans into tactical initiatives and drive change across the department and the wider organization
Own risk management and mitigation within the network domain, ensuring alignment with security policies, standards, and governance frameworks
Understand dependencies and touchpoints to other technology areas, building end-to-end solutions across Axis' technical platforms
Manage financial aspects of the Technology Area, including cost of ownership and forecasting
Represent the Network Technology Area in strategic forums within Axis and with suppliers and vendors
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a driven, structured, and solution-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities paired with a service-minded approach. Rather than focusing on day-to-day operations, you contribute at a strategic and architectural level - seeing the big picture while knowing when to dive into the details.
You are a clear and confident communicator who naturally takes the lead in collaborative settings. With a genuine interest in understanding stakeholder needs, you translate business and customer perspectives into well-defined technical requirements, strategies, and decision-support material. You actively share your knowledge, promote innovation, and contribute to both individual and organizational learning.
A strong conceptual and strategic understanding of IT infrastructure and networking technologies
Experience contributing to or leading development, transformation, or improvement initiatives
Demonstrated ability to guide and coordinate technical teams without formal managerial authority
A pedagogical and structured approach to explaining complex technical concepts, both verbally and in writing
Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
Swedish language skills
Working knowledge of network technologies such as WLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, or network security
Familiarity with financial planning related to technology areas (e.g., cost of ownership, forecasting)
Experience driving legal or contractual discussions related to technology
