Production Planner – Refinery Operations

At VAROPreem's refinery in Lysekil, you'll play a key role in ensuring that production, inventories, logistics flows, and product

quality are aligned to keep one of Sweden's most important industrial facilities running safely and efficiently. Working closely

with Operations, Trading, Laboratory, Shipping, and fellow planners, you'll help optimise production flows across the refinery and

contribute to reliable day-to-day operations.

As a Production Planner, you will work at the heart of refinery operations. Your role is to balance production requirements,

inventory levels, logistics flows, and product quality to ensure optimal refinery performance.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Operations, Trading, Laboratory, and Shipping, analysing data, evaluating

alternatives, and developing plans that support both operational reliability and efficient resource utilisation.

This is a role for someone who enjoys understanding how different parts of a business connect. One day you may be adjusting

production plans based on changing operational conditions, while the next you are analysing inventory positions, optimising

product blends, or coordinating logistics activities.

This position is a long-term fixed-term employment opportunity covering a parental leave absence. As we actively support our

VAROPreem's refinery in Lysekil is Sweden's largest refinery and one of the most significant industrial facilities in Western

Sweden. As part of an international energy company operating in 33 countries, VAROPreem owns and operates assets that play an

producer of renewable fuels in Europe, and one of the six largest globally.

• A university degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Logistics,

or a related field.

Experience in production planning, refinery operations, logistics optimisation, or laboratory environments is considered an

advantage.

You are analytical and curious by nature and like identifying patterns, understanding relationships, and finding better ways to

work. You are motivated by continuous improvement and appreciate roles where you can combine data analysis with practical

decision-making.

You work in a structured and detail-oriented way while maintaining the ability to see the bigger picture. When priorities shift,

you stay calm, make sound decisions, and adapt accordingly.

Please note that due to the summer holiday period, our recruitment team and hiring managers will be on vacation during parts of
