By empowering FinTechs, banks, and wealth managers to offer investment products, we help create financial well-being for their customers. lemon.markets is a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform: simple digital access to capital markets through a single API. Our API-first infrastructure abstracts brokerage complexity with a well-documented API, a self-service customer operations portal, and a clear regulatory framework, so partners can launch customer-centric, compliant products in weeks, not months. As part of the dwpbank Group, we share a clear goal: we enable anyone to be an investor by making investing in capital markets more accessible. By combining dwpbank’s long-standing expertise and stability with lemon.markets’ technology-first mindset and speed, we are building a modern, modular securities services ecosystem. Together, we offer faster time-to-market, modular services, and a modern customer experience that helps financial service providers stay competitive and respond more flexibly in a changing market. YOUR MISSION As our Investment Compliance Manager, you will own and strengthen our Investment Compliance Function across the securities business, ensuring that our products, processes, and partner activities remain fully aligned with WPHG requirements. The role sits close to our Investing Domain and Customer Lifecycle Domain and is designed as an embedded compliance role with strong exposure to Product, Engineering, Operations, Partner Management, and other first-line functions. Your work will directly support compliant product growth by ensuring that new features, instruments, customer journeys, and partner setups are reviewed early and implemented in line with regulatory expectations. In the first months, your focus will be on understanding the existing framework, taking end-to-end ownership of day-to-day WPHG compliance topics, and further detailing and improving an already solid control setup. You will have the opportunity to combine oversight with forward-looking advisory work, helping the business move quickly while maintaining high regulatory standards in a product-driven and highly collaborative environment. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: * Review key WPHG topics such as best execution, inducements, appropriateness, product governance, customer classification, conflicts of interest, market abuse, safeguarding of customer assets, and complaint-related processes, ensuring that the existing framework is applied correctly and further developed where needed. * Monitor first-line implementation and controls across customer order handling, partner activities, tied-agent setups, and customer-facing journeys, including marketing materials, app flows, and disclosures, to ensure customers are informed clearly and not steered inappropriately. * Advise Product, Engineering, Operations in the Investing and Customer Lifecycle Domains on new features, financial instruments, customer types, and process changes, so regulatory requirements are considered early and product development can move forward in a compliant way. * Collaborate closely with Partner Management and relevant internal teams to assess whether partner-operated materials and processes under our license meet our standards and regulatory obligations. * Prepare and further develop WPHG compliance reporting for management, including regular assessments of business development, customer and transaction volumes, incidents, and potential deviations from internal or regulatory requirements. YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU: * You bring at least 5 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years of hands-on WPHG compliance experience in a licensed fintech or bank, with a clear focus on securities services or securities distribution. * You have strong expertise in German regulatory requirements relevant to investment compliance, including topics such as best execution, inducements, appropriateness, product governance, customer classification, conflicts of interest, and related control frameworks. * You are a strong communicator and collaborative stakeholder manager who can work effectively with Product, Engineering, Operations, Partner Management, and other first-line functions in an embedded setup. * You are fluent and comfortable operating in both German and English in a professional environment. * You have a genuine interest in product development and enjoy translating regulation into practical guidance that supports innovation without compromising compliance. * You work in a hands-on, pragmatic, and ownership-driven way, thrive in dynamic environments, and are motivated to improve structures rather than just maintain them. HOW WE TAKE CARE OF YOU: * 🚀 Compensation package: We offer you a competitive salary, based on your experience and the value-add you bring to lemon.markets. * 🕑 Flexible working hours: We trust people to choose when they work best and avoid a rigid 9 to 5 mindset. You decide on the rhythm that helps you do your best work, with only shared core hours from 12:00 to 16:00 to support collaboration. * 🏢 Hybrid work setup: You can work from anywhere in Germany within a hybrid model. At the same time, in-person collaboration is a key part of our culture. That being said, individual contributer lemoneers work 4 days or more in our Berlin office, spending quality time together with the team at events, onsites/offsites or over team dinners. * 📈 Grow with us: We take your personal development seriously! You’ll get regular mentorship and stretch opportunities, a clear career development framework with frequent feedback conversations as well as an annual learning budget. * 🌱 People & culture: You’ll feel our culture in the small things, like Polaroids from our lemoneers’ first day and our monthly new-joiner breakfasts. But also in the bigger things, like celebrating the onboarding of new partners or our annual offsites, where the whole company comes together to connect, reflect, and celebrate. * 💛 Perks & benefits: We choose benefits that add actual value. We sponsor a Deutschlandticket for employees on unlimited contracts, plus 50% off on Beatvest - our partner for financial education and investing. * 🏝 Workation: Get out of here! At lemon.markets you can work remotely from anywhere in the EU for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, and up to 60 days per year in total. As an equal opportunity employer, lemon.markets is committed to building an inclusive workplace. The company welcomes people from all different backgrounds, including age, citizenship, ethnic and racial origins, gender identities, individuals with disabilities, marital status, religions and ideologies, and sexual orientations to apply. What we’re looking for: * A degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field. * Hands-on experience in construction or workplace project delivery, with a strong understanding of technical coordination, documentation, and implementation. * Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. * A proactive and structured approach to problem-solving, with the ability to act quickly and decisively. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in international, cross-functional teams. * Fluency in English (written and spoken) and German proficiency, particularly within the construction sector. * Proficiency in office software, project planning tools, timelines, Miro, Excel, and CAD. INTRO Hamburg | Hybrid with 3 days onsite | €50.000 - €60.000 p.a. (40 hrs/week) | 30 days vacation | German / English C1 Are you excited about owning People Operations for a team that's scaling as fast as the energy transition itself? We've got the basics – Personio's set up, some processes exist. What's missing is someone who owns it full-time, end-to-end. Join suena energy as People Operations Manager (f/m/x) and turn what's currently pieced together into something that actually scales as we grow. suena energy is a green tech startup specializing in algorithmic energy trading for energy storage systems and renewable energies. Our vision: a world where clean energy is used reliably, economically, and intelligently. With our AI-based optimization and trading software, we maximize the revenues of operators of large-scale energy storage and renewable assets on short-term electricity and balancing markets - while simultaneously minimizing their risks. We're a 50+ person team that's fast-paced by nature, but the kind of place where people actually look out for each other. Following our successful Series A, we're investing in expanding our team – and we're excited to strengthen our team with new talent and continue growing together! YOUR MISSION * Own People Operations end-to-end – from Personio and contract changes to parental leave, health insurance, and visa topics. * Turn one-off cases into repeatable processes – research it once, document it, and set it up so the next person doesn't start from zero. * Centralize and own our onboarding into one process, instead of split across the team. * Own HR compliance end-to-end – workplace safety, first-aid and fire-safety officers, mandatory trainings – and make sure we stay compliant as we grow. * Catch what's missing before anyone has to ask – double-check the details, flag what needs fixing, follow through. * Co-own culture with Marietta, our People Lead – team rituals, internal comms, the things that make suena feel like suena. * Take on strategic People projects as you grow into the role, with room to develop toward HR Business Partner work. YOUR PROFILE * Hands-on People Operations experience – you've owned the employee lifecycle, not just supported someone who did. * You navigate German bureaucracy – labor law, social security, health insurance, visa topics – and you always know what actually matters. * Personio know-how – ideally you've set up or automated workflows in it. * You own problems, not just tasks – you build what's missing, flag what's broken, and fix it without being asked. * Employee-facing at heart – approachable, service-minded, and genuinely invested in how people experience working here, not just compliance from behind a desk. * Direct communicator – you raise issues and push back when something's off. * Fluent in German and English (C1 each) – working language is English, German law runs in German. * Already doing payroll, or open to growing into it? Either's fine. WHY US? * People at the Core: Clear structures, democratic decisions, and a feedback culture where your voice counts. * Shape the Future: Contribute to the energy transition by working on sustainable energy solutions in a growing market environment. * Connecting & Co-Creating: Strategy off-sites and onsite weeks for real collaboration and shared ideas. * Work Your Way: Home office and flexible hours – you know what works best for you and your team. * Good Vibes:Yoga, shared lunches, after-work fun – we keep the energy up, even when it's busy. * Body & Mind: Urban Sports Club membership, wellbeing check-ins, and mental health support – your energy matters. * New Office: 10th-floor office with rooftop terrace, canteen, great views, ergonomic desks, hardware of your choice, and a pet-friendly environment. * Sustainable Extras: Deutschlandticket, FutureBens, and more – supporting your mobility and future. WHAT ELSE? We look forward to receiving your application, earliest start is as soon as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out - your contact is Marietta (People Lead). You’ll hear back from us within 5 working days of your application. We value your time and want to make the process as transparent as possible.Once we receive your application, we’ll send you a confirmation email outlining the next steps and what you can expect from our interview process. We can’t wait to meet you! suena energy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and reject any form of discrimination.
