The role
As Senior Product Owner for Data Centre Services, you'll have end-to-end ownership of a business-critical infrastructure product—from defining its vision and roadmap to ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
You'll work closely with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to prioritise investments, guide agile delivery and ensure the platform remains secure, compliant and aligned with business objectives.
What you'll work on
Define and evolve the product vision, roadmap and backlog for our global Data Centre Services platform.
Translate business and customer requirements into prioritised user stories, acceptance criteria and successful agile deliveries.
Drive continuous improvements across service reliability, security, compliance and user experience.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to shape technical direction and product decisions.
Manage product lifecycle activities, including budgeting, forecasting and operational performance.
Build trusted relationships across the organisation, influencing decisions and aligning teams around shared priorities.
What will help you succeed
Significant experience delivering and owning enterprise IT infrastructure or Data Centre Services within large, global organisations.
Deep technical expertise (10+ years) across data centre technologies, cloud platforms, virtualisation, networking and infrastructure services.
Experience as a Product Owner, Infrastructure Lead, Technical Lead or similar role with responsibility for product or platform ownership.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
A proactive, analytical mindset with the confidence to make informed decisions and drive initiatives independently.

Role Overview Careium is looking for an experienced and driven Tech Lead to join our team and play a key role in the continued development and transformation of I-care Online (ICO), our Device Management system. In this role, you will act as the team’s primary technical authority, responsible for the technical health, maintainability, and long-term sustainability of the platform. A major focus of the position will be to lead the technical transformation of ICO. You will bridge strategic architectural direction with hands-on implementation, ensuring that technical decisions support both business needs and long-term product quality. Key Responsibilities: As a Tech Lead, you will guide the technical direction of the team and ensure ICO remains scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable. You will lead technical design discussions, architecture alignment, code quality initiatives, and engineering best practices while staying close to delivery and implementation. A central part of the role will be driving the modernization journey of the current .NET and MS SQL based platform, helping transition existing on-premises solutions into a cloud environment using AWS. You will identify technical risks, improvement opportunities, and define pragmatic roadmaps for transformation. You will work closely with the Product Owner to balance feature delivery, modernization efforts, technical debt, and operational stability. You will also serve as the team’s main technical counterpart to Architects, translating broader architectural decisions into practical team-level execution. The role also includes supporting the team in technical investigations, root cause analysis, and solving complex issues requiring development expertise. In addition, you will collaborate with suppliers and external partners connected to the team’s delivery area. Who are you and what are your qualifications? We believe you are a senior engineer with strong technical judgment and a passion for modernization and continuous improvement. You are comfortable working in both strategic and hands-on contexts, and you know how to guide teams through technical change. To succeed in this role, you likely have: Several years of experience in software development, including senior or lead responsibilities Strong hands-on experience with .NET development environments Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server / MS SQL Proven experience migrating on-premises systems to cloud platforms, preferably AWS Experience with system modernization, refactoring, and technical debt reduction Strong understanding of software architecture, maintainability, performance, and security Experience leading technical decisions and guiding engineering standards Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams Experience working in Agile product development environments. We're looking for an IT Product Owner who is ready to take the lead, shaping the systems that connect product data across Axis. This role is based at our headquarters in Lund. Your future team You will join a team within our Information Systems department, working with both backend and frontend developers to build and evolve the systems that manage product information across Axis. The team plays a key part in Axis's ongoing transformation, developing cross-functional solutions that integrate departments and enable the business to move forward.
