As a Platform DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating critical platform services that
power our applications and customer experiences. This includes managing and optimizing our CDN, Cloud Edge functions, DNS, WAF,
and IIS-based applications, while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across our environments.
You will bring deep technical expertise in AWS cloud services, infrastructure as code, and automation tooling, with a focus on
enabling reliable, performant, and secure delivery of applications at the edge. Collaboration with developers, security engineers,
and infrastructure teams will be essential to align platform capabilities with organizational goals.
Your contributions will directly support our vision to transition workloads from on-premise infrastructure to modern, cloud-native
and edge-optimized platforms.
Our Product Development organisation is truly Global with cross functional teams spanning 6 Tech Hubs – Malta, Budapest,
Stockholm, Tallinn, Malaga and Athens. With nearly 600 strong professionals, the Product Development organisation is spear-headed

A TASTER OF WHAT YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH * Working with cutting edge technology enabling our Cloud Journey * The Platform Core team is responsible for managing Infrastructure as Code for parts of our Core Platform Layer (Kubernetes Clusters, Message Broker backends, Infrastructure tooling), providing a distributed runtime platform that ensures optimal performance of our business web applications, APIs and backend services * Building our Infrastructure Platforms as self-service to our developers and providing guidance and tooling for developers to self-manage their applications cross environments * Continuously improve and develop our platforms based on business needs. Analyse, diagnose and solve issues of efficiency performance and scale collaborating cross functional with colleagues from different teams Right now, we are looking to strengthen further the management of our Container Platform and Kafka Messaging Platform and looking for a DevOps engineer with strong knowledge and experience in Kubernetes administration and managing Kafka infrastructure. YOU'RE GOOD AT * Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters, preferably with experience with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE. * Strong knowledge and experience of managing Kafka infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup, administration, and configuration of such service. * Managing Cloud Infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, with a good understanding of terraform modules and workflows. * Experience working with cloud providers, with AWS as preference, and strong knowledge with Cloud provider services such as EC2, ALBs, VPC, and EKS * Experience in building scalable and distributed infrastructure * Experience in using versioned source control to manage code changes * Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Prometheus/Grafana. * Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, Powershell or similar * Experience in using and managing Linux distributions * Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. * Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, such as ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and DevOps principles. * Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. * Required to be on an On-call support schedule. Databases capabilities span from on-prem servers to cloud servers and DBaaS. * Building our Database Infrastructure Platforms with our developers and providing guidance and tooling to handle distributed systems. * Continuously improve, tune and optimise our Database platforms capabilities based on business needs. Analyse, diagnose and solve issues of efficiency performance and scale collaborating cross functional with colleagues from different teams YOU’RE GOOD AT * Proficiency in setting up and administering AWS database services, including SQL and NoSQL databases, both as DBaaS and Elastic Compute models. * Strong expertise in managing PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases, including administration, optimization, and high availability configurations. * Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, with a solid understanding of terraform modules and workflows. * Configuration management expertise using Ansible or Terraform for cloud infrastructure. * Familiarity with cloud providers, with a preference for AWS, and deep knowledge of cloud provider services such as Aurora, DynamoDB and RDS. * Proven experience in building scalable and distributed database infrastructure. * Skill in version control to manage code changes effectively. * Familiarity with open-source monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. * Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Powershell, or similar. * Experience in using and managing Linux distributions. * Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions promptly. * Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, including ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and DevOps principles. * Adaptability to changing technologies and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. * DB design and manage efficient database schemas, optimize performance, and secure data through user authentication, access control, and encryption. * Support and implement the backup, recovery, and high availability strategies are crucial for data protection, with configurations for failover and replication. * DBAs monitor and fine-tune database performance, apply patches and updates, and automate routine tasks through scripting. * Capacity planning and disaster recovery planning ensure scalability and business continuity.
