DEPT®/AI has a single mission: to make the best work in the industry using Data & AI to enhance everything we do. This role sits
within our Data & AI practice, which has deep expertise in leveraging AI. The team includes data strategists, consultants, data
scientists and analysts that work alongside DEPT® teams around the world across different services – from commerce, to full-funnel
media, content engineering to internal operations. You will be solving some of the hardest and most challenging problems facing
some of the best loved brands in the world – and doing this alongside an experienced team.
This role is part of our EMEA Data craft team, an integrated craft across Europe driving data engineering, data science, and AI
initiatives. We combine our expertise in data architecture, analytics, and AI to deliver exceptional data-driven solutions that
build lasting relationships with our clients like Footlocker, Nikon, Rituals, and Philips.
This role also requires a technically excellent, strategic thinker with proven experience in leading data engineering teams and
implementing enterprise-scale data solutions.
As part of the EMEA Data craft team, you will be responsible for executing our data engineering strategy and delivering technical
excellence on complex client projects. To be successful, you must combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen.
You'll work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and translate these into robust data engineering
solutions. You'll guide technical decision-making, establish best practices, and ensure our capabilities remain at the cutting

ABOUT THE JOB Every week, millions of people use the Autotrader online marketplace. Our consumer experience isn’t just about finding a vehicle; it’s multi-faceted, allowing consumers to research, refine, and buy in one place. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with experience of complex consumer journeys to help us build and evolve our consumer products. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a leading role in one of our consumer product teams, which centres around key parts of the consumer experience such as Search, Selling, CRM, and Marketing. Our teams are cross-disciplinary, so it’s highly collaborative; you’ll need to work closely with engineers, designers, and product leads. Your responsibilities will include: * Establishing metrics for your product area using appropriate frameworks. Ensure governance through robust measurement and monitoring whilst aligning common definitions with Data Analysts in other teams * Leading the design of data products and collaborating with engineers on their implementation * Lead the definition and continuous improvement of tracking to ensure reliable measurement of user behaviour and product performance * Own experimentation programme outputs and partner with Design and User Research during early‑stage ideation. * Work closely and seamlessly with senior stakeholders across the business, challenging and influencing decisions through data-informed recommendations, particularly when evaluating product changes and identifying new opportunities for improvement. * As a leader in your team, be accountable for its success, champion the use of analytics and support other Data Analysts * Plan and prioritise the analytical components of projects and ensure clear communication with Analytics leadership and adjacent teams Furthermore, as a valued member of our analytics community, you’ll play a key role in embedding Growth and Product Analytics principles, fostering a culture of evidence-led thinking and knowledge sharing across the discipline. You’ll drive this through impactful initiatives such as training, workshops, and the development of robust frameworks that enable consistent and scalable analytics practices. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Someone who has proven experience working within consumer-facing product teams, and a good understanding of the differing analytical approaches we may use at each stage of the consumer’s lifecycle. * Experience overseeing experimentation programmes and practices that inform product or business decisions. * A good understanding of methods for statistical inference (e.g. Bayesian, Frequentist) and familiarity with predictive analytics techniques is highly beneficial. * Working knowledge of common analytics tools used for tracking and analysing user behaviour, such as Google Analytics or similar platforms. * The ability to articulate complex analytical solutions to stakeholders and influence them * Experience in planning and delivering analytical projects in a cross-functional environment. * Demonstrable experience in mentoring and leading other analysts towards collective goals. * Proficiency in SQL and Python, coupled with knowledge of ETL processes and foundational data engineering principles.
