Description Our Trading Associates are passionate about improving the global economy by facilitating risk transfer and restoring order to prices. At Oryctérope Transalpin, you will be called on to work with teammates to eliminate inefficiencies and manage risk in the world’s financial markets. As a Trading Associate, you will gain early exposure to real time trading in order to develop situational awareness and a deep understanding of the market. In collaboration with our team and development through our formalized education program, you will have the scope to utilize risk management and strategic thinking skills to guide trades and explore new trading opportunities. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, strives for continual improvement, has a disciplined appetite for risk, and is dedicated to mastering their market. Responsibilities * Work with teammates to assist and learn all facets of automated trading * Develop expertise in market microstructure, tick data, and automated trading systems * Build and maintain trading quantitative model tools and analytics * Develop, code, maintain and support production quality automated trading strategies REQUIREMENTS * Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. * Passion for math and software applied to markets and trading * Strong understanding of computing, math, probability, statistics, and finance. Candidates without graduate school level math background will not be considered. * Programming proficiency and experience (C++, C#, Python, R). Linux scripting a plus. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work within a team in a fast paced environment * MS or PhD in technical field or pertinent industry experience

YOUR MISSION: As a Founder’s Associate, you will work closely with the Founder and CEO and leadership team to help drive the company’s strategic priorities and operational execution. In this role, you will take ownership of high-impact, cross-functional projects across the business. These may range from supporting strategic initiatives in commercial, product, and operations teams to improving internal processes, building organisational structures, and helping ensure alignment as the company scales. YOU WILL: * Support the Founder and CEO on strategic and operational projects that drive company goals and priorities. * Own and lead projects with a deep focus on brokerage, custody and capital markets, this is where you will spend a significant part of your time and where domain knowledge is essential. * Analyse market developments, competitor dynamics, and trends across the European brokerage, wealth, and investment infrastructure landscape. * Take ownership of special projects that support the next stage of lemon.markets’ growth. * Lead and mentor the Founder’s Associate Intern team, providing structure, guidance, and prioritisation across projects while helping develop their skills and ensuring high-quality execution. * Contribute to refining and scaling internal processes, documentation, and operating structures across the company, especially in light of what becomes possible with AI. * Help develop, structure, and execute cross-functional initiatives across teams. * Act as a connector across the organisation by understanding team priorities, spotting gaps and blockers early, and helping drive effective cross-functional collaboration. YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU: * You have a background (bachelor and master degree) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer science or a similar area. * You are an entrepreneurial problem solver. You strive to take ownership of the tasks you get and apply your analytical skills, structured thinking, and independent working style towards solving them. * You have gained 2 years or more of hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you have worked in an early-stage startup, fintech, consulting, tech company or similar. * You bring experience from the world of brokerage, trading or custody and/or are deeply excited to get into the engine room details of our mission to make anyone an investor. * You cope well with frequent change and ambiguity. Responsibilities: Regulatory and legal framework * Be aware of and act in accordance with the regulatory and legal framework governing the trader's activities, including any relevant market abuse rules * To the extent applicable, understand and abide by relevant market risk limits and thresholds and prudential levels Policies and Procedures * Know, understand and comply with Man's Global Compliance policies and any internal procedures relevant to the trader's business activities and with the requirements set out in Man's Staff Handbook and Global Code of Ethics as well as any global, regional and local compliance manuals * Obtain appropriate authorisation to trade pursuant to the PM's recorded instructions * Report regularly to their appointed line manager * At the end of each day, ensure that all transactions for which the trader is responsible for executing, have been recorded in the trading system correctly * Report any potential regulatory concerns to Compliance and to the appointed line manager. Broker Execution Evaluation/Review * Oversight of broker roster and ensuring proper allocation of flow keeping in mind metrics of broker performance, coverage model, execution research and operational efficiency * Feedback to executing brokers of areas of improvement, ranking etc. * Prime Broker relationship management, to maintain and optimise said relationships * Liaison with operations teams to ensure no disruption or backlog with the brokers resulting in process bottlenecks leading to missed opportunities on the execution front in Operational & Workflow Considerations * Ability to raise/cancel an order ticket, based on the PM’s recorded instructions, if required (this should not be viewed as standard practise) * Continue to be able to view PM’s holdings * Assist Middle Office to ensure timely matching of trades * Liaison with stock loan desk * 0-2 years of experience trading in a financial institution or relevant technical experience. * Intermediate skill level - programming language such as Python, SQL * Solid general understanding of financial markets, complemented by a genuine enthusiasm and keen interest in market dynamics. · Hands-on attitude; willing to get involved with technology and projects across the firm. * Strong academic record and a degree from a leading university. * Attention to detail and disciplined.
