Lyft Ads is one of the fastest-growing businesses within Lyft, building a first-of-its-kind mobility advertising platform. As the Financial Analyst, you'll be a core finance partner to a high-velocity, scaling business by translating complex commercial activity into clean financials, sharp insights, and executive-ready narratives. This role sits at the intersection of accounting rigor and strategic finance. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Financial Close: Own month end processes and actualization of the Ads P&L, including revenue, expenses, and headcount, and ensure all data is accurate and organized efficiently. * FP&A Reporting: Drive variance analyses and forecasting for Finance and Ads leadership on a weekly basis. Own all budget, actuals, and forecast variance analyses and provide forward-looking insights on revenue/expense trends. * Budget Management: Approve and own spend across the rapidly growing business. Collaborate with procurement and business operations to understand vendor usage and ROI to the business. * Ads Reporting: Provide reporting for campaign margins, account growth, and sales rep efficiency routinely. Build relationships with cross functional teams to deliver well-rounded, thoughtful insights. * Executive Presentation: Translate dense data into clean, executive-ready Google Slides for VP- and C-suite reviews. EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field. * Strong accounting background preferred. FP&A and/or advertising experience is helpful but not required. * Advanced Excel/Google Sheets knowledge: you are able to comfortably dig through spreadsheets, even ones you have not built. * Curiosity and comfortability with ambiguity: you possess the ability to research and present your findings with little historicals and guidance. * Attention to detail: you are extremely thorough with your reviews and can understand the bigger picture from the data. * Professional fluency in English is required. THE ROLE As the Financial Analyst, you will take full ownership of the month-end processes and financial reporting for allocated entities. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will drive general ledger accuracy by preparing detailed income statement variance analyses and balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be a driven, analytical finance professional with a robust technical foundation, exceptional communication skills, and a proactive approach to continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities and Duties * Owning month-end processes for allocated entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and complete reporting. * Preparing monthly income statements and providing detailed variance analysis. * Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring any reconciling items are resolved promptly. * Performing regular bank postings and maintaining general ledger accuracy. * Supporting the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns. * Assisting with intercompany billing and reconciliations. * Acting as a key point of contact for external audits, including preparing schedules and responding to queries. * Partnering with operational teams to ensure accurate data capture and financial reporting. * Collaborating with in-country advisors and accountants to ensure strict compliance with local laws and regulations. * Delivering ad hoc reporting, analysis, and responding to information requests. * Identifying and implementing improvements to processes, systems, and reporting. * Contributing to finance projects and change initiatives. Position Overview: The Finance Analyst plays a key role in supporting the financial management, reporting, planning, and analysis activities of the business. This role has a broad remit over all parts of our finance function, supporting financial insight to support decision-making, and partners with stakeholders across the organisation to drive business performance Responsibilities: Sales Ledger: * Generate and issue all invoices on a quarterly basis * Minimise debtor days by developing client relationships and through proactive debtor management. * Act as the central contact for all sales ledger queries and demonstrate thorough client knowledge. * Promptly and accurately allocate receipts across all clients and services. * Periodically report revenue and aged debtor performance with effective analysis Purchase Ledger: * Process all purchases invoices across all group entities * Review and approval of employee expense claims * Assisting with supplier queries Banking and Cash: * Own all day to day banking relationships * Post and Reconcile bank statements and transactions * Process bank payments within an effective authorisation framework General Ledger: * Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and depreciation process. * Contribution to the month end close process Management Information: * Own financial analysis to support with financial forecasting and budgeting * Assist with the annual financial audit process * Assist with processing of local tax returns (e.g. VAT) Process Improvement & Systems * Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve efficiency. * Support implementation and optimisation of finance systems. * Improve data quality, controls, and reporting processes. Qualifications: Essential * 2–5 years' experience in finance and accounting * Strong analytical skills. * Comfortable working with Excel * Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools * Strong attention to detail and accuracy Desirable * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline. * ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification (or studying towards). * Experience in financial services, fintech, technology, or a high-growth environment.
