I denna roll får du arbeta med att säkerställa att våra produkter uppfyller både tillverkningskrav (DFM) samt krav ifrån produktstandader. Du arbetar hårt för att förstå kundens perspektiv och ta fram smarta lösningar som underlättar våra kunders liv.
Du kommer att få insikt i hela produktutvecklingsprocessen och jobba med olika tillverkningsmetoder och material – från formsprutning och strängpressning till gjutning och laserskärning – för att skapa produkter som är både funktionella och estetiskt tilltalande.
Med ditt skarpa öga för detaljer och formgivning ser du till att design och produktion går hand i hand. Du har även en central roll i dialogen med leverantörer, där du driver frågor kring prototyper, tillverkningsprocesser och initiala prisförhandlingar för att säkerställa hög kvalitet och kostnadseffektivitet.

Vi söker dig med utbildning inom mekanisk konstruktion. Du har ett intresse för att arbeta praktiskt och nära produkten genom hela utvecklingsprocessen.

Erfarenhet från belysnings- eller solskyddsbranschen är meriterande.
Erfarenhet av att arbeta tvärfunktionellt och kommunicera effektivt med kollegor inom olika discipliner.
Förmåga att lösa komplexa problem och vara flexibel i en föränderlig arbetsmiljö.
Vikariat
Tjänsten är ett föräldravikariat på ett år från augusti 2026 till augusti 2027, med goda möjligheter till förlängning.

ALTEN Sweden is now looking for several Design Engineers with expertise in Body in White (BIW) and sheet metal design to join an exciting project in Gothenburg. You will work at the forefront of automotive innovation, contributing to the development of next-generation vehicles by designing and optimizing body structures, primarily focusing on door structures (DIW), and Hang-on-Parts (HOP). In this role, you’ll use advanced CAD tools like Catia V5/V6 to create high-quality designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and performance. About the role As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of vehicle design. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and developing body components using Catia V5, ensuring precision and innovation.
