As a Mechanical Engineer on Harmattan AI’s Airframe team, you will design UAV platforms and subsystems in an autonomous,

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support the deployment and continuous improvement of our quality management system (QMS) across our international entities. Working closely with the Senior Quality Engineer, you will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards, supporting audits, and ensuring smooth communication between teams. RESPONSIBILITIES * Quality Management System Support * Assist in the documentation and implementation of procedures and processes aligned with ISO 9001 and EN 9100 standards. * Participate in internal audits from start to finish (covering workstation, process, and supplier audits). * Contribute to the follow-up of non-conformities, corrective and preventive actions. * Operational Quality * Manage incoming and outgoing quality checks, including supplier and customer feedback. * Participate in the analysis of product returns and coordinate corrective actions with the technical teams. * Use quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis and Ishikawa diagrams to identify and classify potential causes of quality issues. * Support risk reduction initiatives across production and R&D teams. * Collaboration and Communication * Work with cross-functional teams using platforms such as Jira or Confluence to document and track quality topics. * Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and promote a strong quality culture. * Continuous Improvement * Participate in initiatives to improve processes, reduce risks, and increase customer satisfaction. * Collect and analyse data to support performance monitoring and reporting. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * Degree in quality, industrial, aeronautical, or mechanical engineering. * 2–3 years of relevant experience in quality engineering, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or high-tech sectors, with at least one successful first permanent role. * Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and ability to perform internal audits from end-to-end across different types of quality topics (process, supplier, product). * Experience with quality tools, including Root Cause Analysis, Ishikawa diagrams, and risk reduction methods. * Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar collaboration tools. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments in an international environment. * Communication & Commitment: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; full alignment with Harmattan AI’s mission and willingness to go the extra mile to support our growth. About the Role As a System Engineer, you will own the architecture, system definition and implementation of one of our robotic systems — from concept to field deployment. You will work hand-in-hand with project managers and technical leads to translate mission needs into system-level designs, coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, and ensure overall system performance, robustness, and reliability. Responsibilities * System Architecture: Transform system requirements into architectures solutions. * Technical Coordination: Lead cross-functional design across mechanical, electrical, software, GNC, and ML teams. * Trade-Off & Design Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and system-level simulations to guide technical choices. * Integration & Validation: Oversee system integration, prototyping, and validation, ensuring performance targets are achieved. * System Reviews: Drive design and architecture reviews, maintaining consistency between requirements, design, and testing. * Continuous Improvement: Implement processes to enhance requirements traceability, system documentation, and validation workflows. Candidate Requirements * 10+ years of experience in system engineering within robotics, aerospace, or defense sectors. * MSc in Engineering (any field); PhD is a plus. * Proven experience leading full system lifecycles (concept → prototype → validation). * Strong background in system architecture, requirements engineering, and trade-off analysis. * Broad engineering culture with understanding of mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems. * Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing technical interfaces. * Rigorous, structured, and mission-driven mindset with strong analytical skills. * Excellent communication and documentation abilities. * Bonus: Experience with UAS or defense systems. About the Role As an Electrical Engineer, your main role will be to design and develop electronic boards and embedded systems (SoM) for UAVs (e.g., Flight Controllers, Companion Computers, Electronic Speed Controllers). Responsibilities * High-performance embedded system design: Define the architecture and design the physical and electrical integration of complex systems based on processors, fast memory (DDR, Flash), and peripherals (e.g. embedded computers/calculators, sensors, video processing…). * Advanced schematic and routing design: Design and develop electronic schematics, and perform board placement/routing to meet design specifications, managing fast signal constraints. * Physical integration: Collaborate with the Mechanical Department to ensure the seamless physical integration of the boards into the final product. * Sensor integration: Work closely with the GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) Department to ensure accurate and effective sensor integration. * Electromagnetic compatibility: Address and resolve EMC challenges while ensuring signal integrity. * Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in electrical and electronic boards through effective troubleshooting. * Testing and Validation: Conduct testing, integration, and performance validation of electronic boards to meet operational and design requirements.
