As part of our DevOps culture, you ensure the quality and performance of our enmacc platform and own the approval process of new
product functionality. We are seeking a proactive and highly collaborative Product Quality Engineer (PQE) to join our dynamic team
and champion this mission. This role represents an evolution from traditional Quality Assurance, embedding quality practices
deeply within the entire product development lifecycle. You'll thrive in our fast-paced Agile environment by engaging early and

ABOUT THE TEAM You will be an integral part of our growing Quality Management Team, reporting directly to the Quality Manager Production. You will directly manage a dedicated, agile team of quality technicians who are eyes and ears on the ground. You will work side by side with production shift supervisors, manufacturing engineers, and the quality engineers. Your relationship with them is collaborative, not adversarial - together, you ensure that high throughput never compromises high quality. YOUR MISSION Your mission is to lead by example on the manufacturing floor. You will inspire, coach, and elevate your QA technicians.You are not just a gatekeeper checking boxes at the end of a line; you are the architect of a proactive quality culture. You will empower your team ensuring that our customers receive flawless products every single time. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead, coach, and manage a team of Production QA Technicians * Schedule and assign QA personnel to production lines based on daily manufacturing priorities. * Deciding on the withholding of defective products and initiating immediate corrective actions in the event of quality deviations. * Oversee the containment, isolation, and documentation of non-conforming materials or products. * Close collaboration with Production, Production Engineering, R&D and Supply Chain * Ensuring the quality of products delivered to the customer * Actively participating in the further development of inspection processes and the implementation of new inspection methods. * Develop and execute training programs to ensure the QA team is fully aligned on inspection techniques, safety protocols, and testing methodologies. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field, OR * A German degree as “Meister”, “Staatlich geprüfter Techniker” specializing in electronics or mechanical engineering with equivalent, proven professional experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment. * 3–5 years of experience in a production/manufacturing QA environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity * Strong commitment to quality and a high level of customer focus * Strong organizational and communication skills * Strong technical understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work well in a team, a structured approach to work, and a hands-on mindset * Business-level proficiency in German and English. NICE TO HAVE * Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems * Experience in relevant quality management tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.). * Experience using Computer-Aided Quality (CAQ) software

WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role. The work you drive directly determines how fast Apaleo can expand internationally. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and architectural direction for the entire Fiscal & Compliance domain, operating as a peer to our Product Compliance Leader, where they bring regulatory intelligence and you translate it into platform strategy and delivery. Fiscal framework vision & scalable market enablement Define and drive the long-term architectural vision for how Apaleo handles fiscal compliance at scale, one that transforms new-market enablement from bespoke engineering projects into scalable, configuration-driven workflows. Own the investment case for this platform-level work, defend it against short-term feature pressure, and hold yourself accountable for the outcome: measurably faster and cheaper fiscal provider integrations and new country launches. Roadmap ownership & strategic prioritisation Own the Fiscal & Compliance product roadmap end-to-end: from regulatory signal to architectural decision to crew-level delivery. Make prioritisation trade-offs transparently, deciding when to take on a new country requirement, when to defer, and when to invest in foundational capability instead. Turf leadership & team development Lead and develop the Crew-level PM(s) within the turf, providing direction, coaching, and clear ownership boundaries. Depending on team shape and capacity, you may also directly own one of the crews, particularly where the work is foundational or tightly coupled to the vision. Cross-functional leadership Work as a peer with the Product Compliance Leader: they bring regulatory intelligence and country strategy; you translate that into product decisions and delivery. Collaborate with BD and CS to ensure the roadmap reflects commercial priorities. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES * 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role owning a platform domain or complex infrastructure product area. * Demonstrated experience driving platform-level investment decisions, not just feature delivery, but architectural thinking with multi-year consequences. * Background in fiscal, financial, or compliance-adjacent product domains (fintech, ERP, tax-tech, PMS, or similar) to engage credibly with regulatory complexity, even if you’re not a primary specialist. * Intellectually honest about domain gaps, with a concrete plan to close them, comfortable working alongside a domain expert rather than needing to be one. * Experience leading or mentoring other PMs, with a clear management or coaching track record. * Strong prioritisation instincts under competing pressures, with a track record of defending foundational investment against short-term demands. * Excellent communication skills, able to make complex platform trade-offs legible to engineers, senior leadership, and commercial stakeholders alike. STRONGLY PREFERRED * Prior exposure to hospitality technology or PMS platforms. * Experience owning a compliance or fiscalization project through multiple market expansions. * Familiarity with European fiscal regulatory landscape and what it takes to build compliant products across these markets. WHAT EARLY SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE * A fiscal integration framework vision is defined, socialised, and has engineering investment allocated to it. * The time and cost of connecting a fiscal provider to a new market has measurably reduced. * The team is operating with a forward-looking roadmap, not a reactive backlog. * Platform investment and technical debt reduction are treated as explicit roadmap streams alongside regulatory delivery.
