THE TEAM AND ROLE As a Working Student HR Marketing & Partnerships (all genders), you will become part of a dedicated People team focused on building Avelios' employer brand and helping attract top talent - from students and graduates to experienced professionals. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES * Employer Branding Strategy & Channels: You'll support the development and ongoing refinement of our employer branding strategy, including managing and optimizing our presence on key channels such as our careers page, LinkedIn, and Kununu to ensure our content stays current, consistent, and compelling. * Event & Career Fair Management: From university workshops to career fairs, you'll help plan and execute recruiting events that grow Avelios' visibility among our target talent groups, including researching, selecting, and coordinating all event and trade show materials. * Content Creation & Design: You'll create and prepare content across events, campaigns, and our employer branding channels, ranging from presentations and social media assets to printed materials, bringing your creative eye and confident use of tools like PowerPoint, Canva, or similar. * Cross-functional Support: Beyond your core responsibilities, you'll pitch in on ad hoc projects and initiatives across the People team wherever your support is needed, contributing your creativity and attention to detail to a wide range of tasks. WHO WE ARE Proxima Fusion is Europe’s fastest-growing fusion company and the continent’s best-funded fusion player, as well as the first spin-out from the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP). YOUR IMPACT * Produce short- and long-form video content that explains complex science and highlights our engineers * Create social media posts, written pieces, and campaign content across channels * Support the development and production of multi-channel campaigns that bring Proxima's technology and mission to life * Help shape how fusion energy is understood by the public, media, and decision-makers * Learn how strategic communications are built, produced, and distributed inside a fast-moving deep-tech scale up WHAT YOU WILL DO * Create and edit multi-channel content – Help plan, script, and produce posts, videos, and campaigns across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms. * Support video production – Assist in filming, editing, and optimizing short-form videos that showcase our people, our technology, and our progress. * Collaborate creatively – Work across the team to support with content that translates complex scientific and technical topics into clear, compelling digital stories. * Help shape Proxima’s online presence – Contribute ideas for visual identity, new content formats, and audience engagement strategies. * Analyze and improve – Track content performance and support data-driven recommendations to enhance reach and impact. WHO YOU ARE * Skills – Experience with creating and optimizing videos for different platforms (especially LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube), video editing (e.g. Premiere Pro or CapCut), and visual content creation tools (e.g. Canva or Adobe Creative Suite). * Creativity – You identify as a creator with a strong sense for storytelling, an eye for visual style, and a deep knowledge of trends, algorithms, and best practices across social platforms (being Very Online is a plus). * Technical curiosity – You don’t need to be an expert of fusion energy, but you’re motivated to learn about it and communicate about it in engaging ways. * Language – You are fluent in both English and German. * Education – You are currently pursuing a degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Film, or a related field. In this role, you will play an active part in bringing our regional networking events to life, managing digital webinars, and wider marketing initiatives. EVENT PREPARATION, MANAGEMENT & LOGISTICS * Keep event calendar up-to-date * Cross check the event budget pre-during-post * Prepare CRM event campaigns and lead forms for our upcoming events * Prepare all event digital banners, printed name tags and support with all collateral (roll-up, giveaways etc.) * Support with pre and post follow up emails to attendees and LinkedIn posts promoting the event. * Support with post event metrics and retro alignment. * Flagship Series Support: Assist in planning, organizing, and executing our regional enmacc Energy Connect networking series across Europe (e.g., Munich, Düsseldorf, Vienna, Zürich, Milan, Paris and Frankfurt). * Major Trade Shows: Support our preparation and presence at premier European industry events like E-world Energy & Water in Essen, support coordinating booth logistics and signature sub-events like “enmacc Energy Connect On The Rocks”. Be the main point of contact for internal colleagues * On-Site Support : Help manage attendee registration lists, venue communication, and branding collateral. 2. DIGITAL EVENTS & WEBINARS * Webinar Coordination: Assist in the end-to-end setup of our regular expert briefings and panels (covering wholesale PPAs, LNG, and margin optimization). * Speaker & Partner Management: Liaise with external industry experts (e.g., Argus, Veyt, OpenGamma) to organize presentation materials and dry runs. * Promotion & Follow-Up: Build registration landing pages, set up automated email sequences, and distribute post-webinar recordings.
