Reporting directly to a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be the first line of defense in our Security Operations Center, playing a vital role in detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats across our entire global infrastructure.

ABOUT THIS ROLE We are looking for a SOC Analyst - Tier 1 (f/m/x) to join our Security Operations team. In this role, you will act as the first line of defense, monitoring security alerts, identifying real threats, and ensuring that relevant incidents are escalated quickly and clearly. This is an entry-level position designed for candidates who want to start or grow their career in cybersecurity. You will work with real-world incidents from day one, supported by experienced colleagues and a structured onboarding process. You will not be expected to solve complex investigations independently. Instead, your focus will be on building strong fundamentals in alert analysis, documentation, and escalation, while learning how a modern SOC operates at scale. This is a strong early-career role in cybersecurity, with a clear path to grow into more advanced roles over time. ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly motivated SOC Analyst Level 1 to join our dynamic SOC team. As a Level 1 Analyst, you will be the first line of defence, responsible for monitoring, analysing, and responding to security events and incidents in real time. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitor and analyse security alerts from SIEM and other security tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. * Perform initial triage of security events and escalate incidents based on severity and impact. * Investigate suspicious activity and respond to security events promptly. * Document and track incidents, ensuring accurate and detailed reporting for follow-up analysis. * Work closely with the SOC team to implement threat detection improvements and enhance overall security posture. * Contribute to the development of incident response playbooks and procedures. * Assist with vulnerability management and proactive threat hunting to identify gaps and reduce risk. * Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and trends to improve detection capabilities. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * Strong understanding of security principles, network protocols, and operating systems. * Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection. * Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified SOC Analyst (CSA), or equivalent are desirable.
