Our mission and customers: We are creating the freedom for SMEs to succeed by delivering Europe's leading finance workspace with banking at its core, augmented by financial tools. We are proud to be rated 4.8 on Trustpilot, based on 55,000+ reviews. Our culture puts customer satisfaction at the core of what we do, as proven by our Net Promoter Score of 75 (more about our culture here).
Our journey: Founded in 2017 by Alexandre and Steve, Qonto has grown to 1,600+ Qontoers serving over 600,000+ customers across 8 European countries. We have been profitable since 2023, and we are just getting started.
Our beliefs: We hire for skills and potential. With 80+ nationalities, 45% women, of which 56% of women in our leadership team, diversity isn't a program; It's who we are. We've built a discrimination-free hiring process because the best teams are built on merit.
AI at Qonto: AI is deeply embedded in how we work (here) - Every Qontoer gets unlimited access to the best AI tools. We want people who experiment without waiting for permission, push AI beyond the obvious, know when to trust it, and when to question it.
Join us as a Financial/Structural Risk Manager to secure Qonto's financial foundations as we transition into a regulated bank. You'll tackle liquidity and interest rate risks, design the policies that frame ALM operations, and build models that directly impact Qonto's P&L. You will work in a pair with an experienced Financial Risk Manager, reporting to Clément, Head of Financial Risk Management.
➡️ What you'll do
Identify, measure, and monitor structural risks: Liquidity, interest rate, solvency, and FX risks — ensure Qonto's financial stability across all dimensions.
Design and maintain financial risk policies: Write the frameworks that define how the ALM team operates. You set the rules, monitor compliance, and give ALM autonomy within those boundaries.
Build risk models and dashboards: Use SQL and Python daily to value complex financial instruments (bonds, swaps), track Key Risk Indicators, and improve modelling infrastructure.
Challenge Finance and ALM teams: Ensure their strategies align with Qonto's risk appetite and regulatory constraints. You bring data-backed analysis, not just opinions.
Contribute to regulatory exercises: Help structure the department's processes for Qonto's future status as a Credit Institution — ILAAP, ICAAP, and supervisory reporting.
➡️ What we're looking for
5+ years in Structural or Financial Risk Management: You've managed liquidity, interest rate, or market risks in a bank or financial institution. You understand the domain deeply, not theoretically.
Technical proficiency in SQL and Python: You manipulate data, use financial libraries, and build models from scratch. You don't depend on others for your analysis.
Deep financial instruments knowledge: Bonds, interest rate swaps, and risk metrics (LCR, NSFR, VaR, sensitivities) are your daily vocabulary. FRM certification is a plus.
Clear communication on complex topics: You explain financial concepts to non-experts and engage confidently with stakeholders when risk positions need to be defended.
Languages: Fluent English. French is a plus.
➡️ What we can offer you
Direct P&L impact: Your analysis guides strategic decisions on asset allocation, hedging, and revenue optimisation. This isn't back-office risk reporting — your work moves the numbers.
A pivotal moment — becoming a bank: Qonto is structuring its banking operations with expectations of significant growth. You'll build the financial risk framework for a Credit Institution, not maintain an existing one.
"Trust but verify" methodology: The Risk team sets policies and monitors compliance; ALM executes with autonomy. You define the boundaries and ensure they hold.
A pair-working model: You'll work alongside an experienced Financial Risk Manager, with direct access to Clément. Technical depth and ownership are valued over hierarchy.
➡️ Your future manager
Your manager will be Clément, Head of Financial Risk Management.
His path? Nearly 4 years at Qonto — joined as Senior Financial Risk Expert and promoted to Head of Financial Risk Management in 2024, leading ALM strategy design and risk policy development for the Credit Institution filing. Before Qonto, 6+ years at Bpifrance: Front Office (funding EMTN & NEU CP, hedging strategy), Financial Risk Manager, then Head of Financial and Country Risks Management. Toulouse School of Economics graduate.
What does he bring to the team? Deep financial risk expertise built across public investment banking and fintech. He values analytical rigour, fosters a collaborative environment, and gives his team real ownership. He's navigating Qonto's Credit Institution transition from the risk side — you'll be at the centre of that work.

You'll build the Level 1 Target Operating Model from scratch, run the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) cycle, and produce the risk cartography and governance reporting that keeps regulators and leadership aligned, under the guidance of Maxime, our Operational Risk Manager. ➡️ What you'll do Design the Level 1 control plan: Roll out a unified control framework across all Qonto teams, defining minimum standards for control objectives, owners, procedures, evidence requirements, and remediation logic. Own the RCSA-based risk cartography: Build the Risk & Control Self Assessment methodology with business teams and maintain a first-line risk cartography aligned with the broader risk framework. Define and deploy the Level 1 Target Operating Model: Formalize roles, processes, escalation routes, and first-line/second-line interactions, then drive adoption across the organization. Produce governance reporting: Consolidate Level 1 control execution data (completion rates, failed controls, remediation status) and present to the Risk Committee and relevant governance bodies. Keep LoD1 and LoD2 genuinely separate: Act as the first-line counterpart of Internal Control, ensuring first-line teams own their framework independently. ➡️ What we're looking for

You will report to Garance, our Lead Anti-Financial Crime Unit (France). Every report you write reaches French authorities — your work directly shapes Qonto's regulatory standing and protects our users. ➡️ What you'll do Investigate & report: Draft high-quality Enhanced Investigations (EIs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for Tracfin, covering AML, tax fraud, and private scams cases. Handle escalated alerts: Take ownership of cases escalated by our first line of defence teams, identifying money laundering patterns and fraud attempts with precision. Own your quality standards: Ensure every investigation meets our internal benchmarks and regulatory deadlines — quality and speed are both non-negotiable here. Improve detection tools: Contribute to team projects that sharpen our detection capabilities, from flagging new fraud typologies to refining operational processes. Share knowledge: Identify emerging fraud trends and feed insights back to the team, building a shared knowledge base that makes everyone sharper. ➡️ What we're looking for Fluent French writer: You write in French at C2 level — flawless spelling, grammar, and syntax are essential because your reports go directly to French authorities. You also operate in English at C1 level for internal communication. Legal or financial background: You hold a Master's in Law (Business Law, Criminal Law, Compliance) or Banking/Finance — the regulatory literacy this role requires. AFC or compliance experience: You have a first experience in Anti-Financial Crime, Compliance, or Fraud — or a strong, demonstrable interest backed by coursework or concrete exposure. Detail-oriented mindset: You synthesize complex transaction patterns into clear, concise written reports under time pressure, without sacrificing accuracy. Genuine interest in fraud: You're specifically curious about private scam mechanisms — you want to understand how they work, not just flag them. ➡️ What we can offer you Direct regulatory impact: Your SARs go to Tracfin. This isn't internal reporting — your work reaches France's financial intelligence unit and carries real compliance weight. Case variety across all AFC typologies: You'll work across AML, tax fraud, and scams cases, building a strong generalist AFC skillset while deepening your expertise in private scams — a fast-growing focus area for the team. A high-volume, high-quality environment: You'll handle a significant caseload using Qonto's proprietary back-office tools and Slack. Maintaining quality at pace is a genuine professional development constraint — not marketing copy. Close team with structured support: You'll join a tight AFC team with weekly group meetings and regular 1:1s with Garance. The team is hands-on and actively invested in each person's progression. A visible career path: Garance progressed from Junior to Senior to Lead within Qonto's AFC team. The trajectory exists and is actively encouraged. ➡️ Your future manager Your manager will be Garance, our Lead Anti-Financial Crime Unit (France). Her path? Garance holds a Master's in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences, and joined Qonto in 2023. She progressed rapidly through Junior and Senior Officer roles before being promoted to Lead — a track record built on both technical depth and team results. What does she bring to the team? Garance is a hands-on manager who values transparency and gives her team genuine autonomy. She's committed to each person's development and looks for people who are as focused on quality as they are on speed. At Qonto we understand that true diversity isn't just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick! Who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we've been searching for all along.

You'll run real controls from day one, interviewing engineers, reviewing processes, tracking remediations, all under the guidance of Charlotte, responsible of Internal Control (Tech & Product). ➡️ What you'll do Own monthly tech controls end-to-end: Each month you'll be assigned controls covering access management, change management, security processes, and cybersecurity topics — and take them from stakeholder interview to final report. Interview control owners across the tech org: You'll meet with Security, Data, Backend, and SRE teams to assess how processes actually work vs. how they're supposed to. Formalize your findings into sharp, actionable reports: You'll synthesize what you've collected into clear, structured control documentation that surfaces the key risks and next steps. Track remediations until they're closed: When you identify a gap, you own the follow-up — making sure agreed fixes happen on time, every time. Use AI to move faster and understand more: You'll leverage AI tools to accelerate documentation, analysis, and understanding of technical processes you've never seen before. ➡️ What we're looking for You communicate clearly, even with technical audiences: You know how to walk into a meeting with a senior engineer, build credibility quickly, and ask the questions that actually matter. You can turn complexity into clarity: You produce structured documents that lead with the key findings — not a dump of everything you heard. You're genuinely curious: When you hit an unfamiliar domain (access control, security processes, code behavior), your first instinct is to dig in and understand the "why." You think structurally: You can separate what you observed from what it means, and you propose practical solutions rather than just flagging issues. You're in M1 or M2 of Information Systems Management, IS Audit, or Engineering: English is required; French is a plus. ➡️ What we can offer you Work at the heart of Qonto's most important transformation: We're becoming a fully licensed bank, and this team is directly responsible for making that happen safely and compliantly. Cross-functional exposure across the entire tech org: You'll work with Security, Data, Backend, and SRE — seeing how a fast-scaling fintech actually operates from the inside. Real ownership, not shadowing: Charlotte gives you the work, the tools, and the context — then trusts you to deliver independently. A mentor who's been exactly where you are: Charlotte built her career from Information Systems Management and knows exactly what you need to develop in this space. ➡️ Your future manager You'll be working with Charlotte Guilbaud, responsible of Internal Control (Tech & Product). Charlotte came up through Information Systems Management herself, which means she knows exactly where you're starting from. Her approach is to give you the context, the stakeholders, and the tools, then trust you to own your work. Expect real autonomy, weekly 1:1s to check in on your controls and development, and a mentor who's invested in your growth, not just the deliverables.
